Over the past two years User:Conservative has made it absolutely clear over and over again, on wiki and in the email list, that this is vital news conservative readers need to know.

A few points:
1. It is true that the more a society tolerates homosexuality, the more of it there is all other things being equal (Ceteris paribus). But 32% of people in Russia are neutral towards homosexuality or think homosexuality is acceptable.[4]
2. The largest Russian gay club business with clubs in Moscow/St. Petersburg is still open and its been open since 2014 (See: Central Station (gay club)). There are other gay clubs/bars in Moscow and St. Petersburg too. Yes, there have been past raids claiming suspected drugs at these places, but they stay open by in large.
3. Russia decriminalized homosexuality in 1991 so it's not illegal to be a homosexual in Russia.
4. Militaristic countries like Communist China, the Soviet Union, Cuba, Nazi Germany (Pink triangle, etc.) and Russia have been anti-gay in some their laws/practices. Guys with perceived limp wrists aren't associated with being able to do a lot of military-grade pushups nor do they breed new soldiers.
5. To solve a problem you have to get at the root cause. Christianity lessons a people's odds of becoming homosexuals (if they don't fall away) and it turns people into ex-gays (The Apostle Paul testifies to this in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11). Russia has low church attendance and church attendance is higher in Ukraine/USA. And in Russia, the Russian Orthodox Church is shrinking due to many young people not wanting to be Christians. I have been abundantly clear that both Russia/Ukraine are corrupt/authoritarian leaning countries. Also, I am only for countries engaging in wars if they are in compliance with Just War Theory (A theory which can trace its roots to St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas). Putin's invasion of Ukraine violated Just War Theory.
Next, I have no obsession with homosexuality. I did create some popular content relative to homosexuality in the past. By in large, as far as the topic of homosexuality, I merely responded to your Russia is the "cat's meow of a country" due to some anti-gay laws it created.
I have a zero obsession with Russia as I view it as a country that is probably (barring a miracle) in terminal decline (As does Professor John Mearsheimer who you have cited several times on MPR). I will revisit the Russia/China topics later - like in about 4 years. I want to see what 4 years of Trump's pro-oil/LNG/gas and tariff policies do to China/Russia. I have written about a lot of topics. And I am not going to endlessly keep rehashing the same topics with you about Russia - a country in decline that is projected to likely have the population size ranking of Tanzania and Vietnam by 2050 according to a Russian demographer.

Of course, if you want to spend a ton of hours thinking about Russia that is your choice. It's a free country. But having the expectation that non-Russian citizens will do so is unrealistic. With that being said, as a Christian, I would prefer to focus more on Christian topics such as the Great Commission. So consider going to Twitter or online political forums if you want to talk to others about Russia a lot.

President Trump decried immigration from "sh*ithole countries". It's sad that a country that a country that created the State Hermitage Museum within the Winter Palace is literally transforming itself into a "sh*thole country" with its sewage system crisis and other symptoms of decline. Hopefully, Russia will get off the proverbial mat and become an excellent country. Pulling out of a war of attrition in Ukraine where it's committing war crimes and that is making its country's demographic worse, would be a common sense step in the right direction - especially since the February invasion of Ukraine in 2022 violated Just War Theory.
