Obama syndrome is the condition of supporting Barack Obama for president regardless of what he believes or would actually do in office. The syndrome compels the person who suffers from it to downplay, conceal or deny facts about Obama.

On wikis such as Conservapedia, Obama syndrome is illustrated by editors who focus immediately and exclusively on attempting to edit the Barack Obama entry in a way that conceals suspicions about his candidacy, such as evidence that suggests that he may be a Muslim who is pretending to be Christian.[1]
