Avaaz is a civic organisation founded in January 2007 by Res Publica and MoveOn.org. The current leader is Ricken Patel. Its slogan is The World In Action.
It promotes Globalism and a leftist liberal dominance. It has been organized multiple protests, petitions, has taken actions for Climate change and call for "independent press".
In 2008 a conservative poltician from Canada, John Baird said that Avaaz was a shadowy foreign organization financed by George Soros.
Avaaz means literally in Persian (آواز, âvâz) Voice.
