Quinnipiac University is a Connecticut private university founded in 1929.[2] It ranked #12 in US News's "Universities-Master's (North): Top Schools" list.[3]

Quinnipiac University has a highly reliable, prestigious polling group that has often been better at assessing public opinion than more expensive commercial pollsters are. This is because the university provides the group's budget and does not accept funding from outside sources which could cause it to skew its results to favor them (even though the group does lean liberal in its polling, mainly because the group polls in many liberal or swing states).

This university also engages in other publicly-recognized "extra-curricular" activities. Quinnipiac University hosts various events and conferences and performs and releases various studies.

In athletics the men's hockey team won the 2023 NCAA national championship.
