Pensacola Christian College is an Independent Baptist Christian College located in Pensacola, Florida. The institution was founded in 1974 by Arlin Horton[1] and is currently home to about 4,800 students.
Pensacola Christian College promotes homeschooling and owns Abeka, one of the two dominant publishers of textbooks and resources for Christian schools and homeschooling families. It also operates Pensacola Christian Academy, a K-12 institution affiliated with the college.
It has been described as one of the finest educational institutions in the United States, producing conservative pastors, politicians, and business leaders. It has strong theological, business, nursing, engineering, and art-related programs. The college is accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools.
The school is not to be confused with Pensacola Bible Institute, the Bible college founded by Peter Ruckman known for its extreme views on the King James Bible.
