Governor of New Mexico
Pro-abortion extremism
A hard-core pro-abortion radical, Lujan Grisham has described abortion doctors as "health care providers"[6] and tried to introduce HB 51,[7] a bill that would repeal anti-abortion laws[8] and allow abortion up-to-birth.
Gun control
On September 8, 2023, in violation of her oath of office, issued an emergency order suspending the Second Amendment in Albuquerque and surrounding Bernalillo County for a 30 day period, preventing law-abiding citizens from the conceal and open carry of firearms.[9] State Representatives Stefani Lord and John Block called for the impeaching of Grisham and declared: “This is an abhorrent attempt at imposing a radical, progressive agenda on an unwilling populous…Rather than addressing crime at its core, Governor Grisham is restricting the rights of law-abiding gun owners/”[10]
