The University of Connecticut (or UConn) is a Connecticut public university founded in 1881.[2] The school is located in Storrs, Connecticut. It ranked #64 in USNews' 2008 "National Universities: Top Schools" list.[3]
Athletics
Connecticut currently has 10 men's and 12 women's sports teams.[4] The football program has won 1 bowl game (while loosing 0 and tying 0).[5] The men's basketball program has won 2 national championships,[6] and the women's team has won 5.[7]
