Oregon State University is a public university located in Corvallis, Oregon.

Oregon State is only one of two U.S. university that is a land-grant college, sea-grant, space-grant and sun-grant institution, and the only public university to do so (Cornell is the only other with similar designations).[2]

It are supposedly one of the "greenest" universities in the country and heavily promotes the environmentalist agenda with "degrees" such as "ecological engineering" and student-organized green job events.[3] One of its notable instructors is James Cassidy, who is a Senior Instructor of Soil Science & Sustainable/Organic Agriculture, and Faculty Adviser to the OSU Organic Growers Club; he is better known as one of the founding members of the synth-pop band Information Society.[4] [5]

Former Idaho Governor and United States Secretary of the Interior Cecil Andrus graduated from OSU.
