Election news

Taylor Swift influence next election

Democrats could use Taylor Swift endorsement for their advantage in next election to influence her cult in young generation to vote for Biden. This is very dangerous which Jack Posobiec have tweeted that for months and now New York Times Inside Biden’s Anti-Trump Battle Plan (and Where Taylor Swift Fits In) encourage Democrats to get Taylor Swift endorsement and use to campaign on abortion.

What is ridiculous that 18% of voters could vote for whoever Taylor Swift endorse according to Paul Joseph Watson video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKVTsNrHfE0 --Alex Kosh (talk) 20:11, January 29, 2024 (EST)

  • Taylor Swift admits George Soros is one of her owners.
In 2018, Swift endorsed Bredesen against Blackburn as U.S. senator from Tennessee. The endorsement was widely publicized, but Blackburn won 55-44. According to Wikipedia's graph, there was no signification shift after the endorsement. Now that Swift is preparing to endorse Biden, she is an electoral juggernaut? I am not seeing it. Swift is certainly getting plenty of publicity out of this gimmick. Update. Taylor's politics revolves around LGBT stuff. Neither Pew nor AP-NORC are polling on this issue, so I doubt that it is election critical. PeterKa (talk) 08:55, February 2, 2024 (EST)
Thanks for your insights, Peter and Alex, as always! My opinion is that the Super Bowl should be boycotted this year for promoting gambling, the liberal agenda, Taylor Swift's liberal claptrap. I won't be surprised if Trumps says he's not watching it this year.--Andy Schlafly (talk) 03:27, February 3, 2024 (EST)
I don't follow football all that much, but a friend of mine who does told me that ever since Taylor Swift began dating Travis Kelce, the NFL appears to have been rigging every Chiefs game in their favor using biased referees. The reason they're (supposedly) doing that is because they see Swift's presence at Chiefs games as a tool they could use to boost viewership ratings, and thus make more money. And in order to reap the maximum possible benefits from such a scheme they would have to rig the games to make sure the Chiefs at minimum make it to the Super Bowl. Them winning the Super Bowl would be a bonus, but not a requirement.
For me, that alone would be enough to warrant a boycott. I mean, why waste time watching what is essentially a fake Super Bowl where one of the teams made it that far by cheating?--Geopolitician (talk) 00:38, February 5, 2024 (EST)

Trump: Dictator Comments ‘Said in Jest,’ ‘We Were Having Fun’

See here. Like that wasn't obvious before. On another note, I don't think he went far enough. If I were him, I would've pointed out that Washington establishment used to love Republican presidents who govern like a dictator, and that they even built a memorial to one of them.--Geopolitician (talk) 00:53, February 5, 2024 (EST)

Notice how all the Supercarriers are named after Republican presidents? Why is that? Even when Dems control all three branches of government (House, Senate, and White House as AOC says) they keep up funding and don't start a new program named after Democrat presidents.
The answer is, this gives insight into how the Senate works. Only now, as Supercarriers verge on extinction in modern warfare, the GOP voter base needs to smarten up as their name has been used by globalist warmongers. RobSZelensky didn't kill himself 06:41, February 5, 2024 (EST)

That's what martial law does - it automatically turns the commander-in-chief into a dictator. The term is somewhat abused today. In Roman times, the dictator was viewed as a national savior. And since governments derive their just powers by the consent of the governed, we have granted all presidents the option to declare martial law at his discretion and seize absolute power. Biden's poll numbers

We've had a week to process the special counsel's revelation that Joe Biden is a vegetable -- and it turns out that the country is just fine with it. His net favorable rating is at -15.6 today, with no significant movement in the last two weeks. Not only that, but Biden polls better against Trump than any other Democrat, according to Emerson. Here is a clip that's been doing the rounds recently:

Joe: Do want to get a picture in front?
Jill: We already did.
Joe: Oh

This is a guy with the memory of a moth.

If you compare Biden today to a video of Biden from five years ago, the decline in his mental capabilities is quite dramatic. He is going to be president five years from now? The liberal media apparently thinks so. They are back to cheerleading for him, while labeling anyone who suggests that he might drop out as a conspiracy theorist. PeterKa (talk) 04:18, February 17, 2024 (EST)

Biden has been falling down, being wandering around stages and not able to talk well for a while. The Special Counsel didn't make any startling revelation about Biden's cognitive abilities. So no significant change in the poll numbers. In addition, a lot of people aren't paying attention to politics yet, but as the election nears, they will pay more attention to politics. Iran equips hovercraft with long range (1,000 km) missiles. If you hit Iran, Iran will start taking out US warships. Yes, they have that capability to take out warships in Operation Prosperity Guardian.
Biden will probably take the bait.
And Larry Johnson's probably right, after 2 years we've yet to see a "drone" injure 25 people. likely a missile (which surely the Pentagon/White House know but are lying about for propaganda purposes, to build public support, as if war with Iran will be easy). Unfortunealtely again, we have a population in the United States that's still living in the 1990s vis-a-vis US and potential adversaries military capabilities (in the case of Biden, make that the 1960s). Everybody today has precision guided technology, night vision equipment (the Russians just unveiled their thermo-insulated stealth clothing that defeats ultraviolet thermo-imaging night vision equipment), satellite surveillance, etc. etc.

Hopefully, Biden will do some military action that amounts to kicking the dog so he can make a political ad touting his brilliant, bold leadership in the face of adversity. That's our hope for the best case scenario right now.
A missile attack on Iran proper would basically be a test firing of Iran's missile defense system. It will only result in closer technology sharing between Russia and Iran of Russia's electronic warfare systems. Ask NATO & Kyiv how that worked out. Alternatively, since the sinking of the Moskva we've been anticipating an attack on US satellites. An attack on Iran could escalate that far much quicker.
And it's pretty obvious the US has inferior electronic warfare missile defense systems allegedly "protecting" US military personnel and bases in the Middle East and worldwide.
The Iron Dome system for example, has a finite number of missiles and is designed to defend against homemade missiles from Lebanon; it won't survive an overwhelming barrage of ballistic missiles. And neither carrier-based, ground or air launched US missiles can sufficiently degrade Iran's offensive missile capabilities. RobSZelensky didn't kill himself 23:43, January 29, 2024 (EST)

This attack was bait. Do you think the US can penetrate Iran's electronic warfare systems to sufficiently degrade drone factories, in either Iraq or Iran? RobSZelensky didn't kill himself 00:22, January 30, 2024 (EST)
I hope the US can penetrate, if not, we are in deep trouble. But again, it has to be focused on this technology, any loss of lives are counter productive, as of now IMHO. But to attack inside Iran (which some push) without this objective is not a good idea. But not to do anything - that opinion, no expert on any party holds, ( even if it was bait, the US has no choice, as this low meeky weakness invites more and even stepping up by the Mullah regime). And if hacking drone factories can do it, without firing missiles that would be awesome.Telling (talk) 00:37, January 30, 2024 (EST)
Apparantly, the US wants to test Iran's missile defense capabilities (in much the same way NATO/Ukraine has been constantly probing Russian capabilities with attacks on Crimea). Iran does have the ability to shoot down a $135 million Reaper drone.
(Thus discussion is getting a bit technical cause we must distinguish between offensive and defensive missile capabilities. Defensive missile capabilities = the ability to shoot down a bullet with a bullet).
The immediate problem is, American troops on land and at sea are extremely vulnerable because of inferior missile defense and electronic warfare capabilities. RobSZelensky didn't kill himself 00:39, January 30, 2024 (EST)

Conclusion: The Administration is working hard to keep its relationship with Iraq and protect Iran, holding back information that would directly implicate either. This compromises American forces in Iraq, Syria, and Jordan in two ways.

First, US bases are poorly defended and not strongly fortified, meaning they are relatively easy to attack with drones, mortars, rockets, and missiles. As they have been repeatedly....

"I'm going to be president of everybody whether they live in a red state or a green state." That's how Joe Biden started this historic press conference. It went downhill from there.
Okay, we all mix up words and names from time to time. Here is the most revealing part of the press conference: He pulled out a rosary at one point. It was a prop for a story he was going to tell to show how great his memory still was. Then he forgot the story and went to questions.
Why did Biden illegally retain classified documents? These documents established that he was already advocating a withdrawal from Afghanistan as early as 2009 when he was vice president. He showed them to his ghost writer to show what a brilliant strategist he was. That is to say, Biden withdrew from Afghanistan to vindicate a proposal that had been near and dear to him when he was vice president, but was rejected by Obama. When the withdrawal proved to be a disaster, then it was all the fault of a deal that Trump had made with the Taliban. The existence of these documents became inconvenient. See "The Most Catastrophic Press Conference of ALL TIME" by Ben Shapiro. PeterKa (talk) 19:27, February 10, 2024 (EST)
The political betting markets data indicates that Biden still retains a 30% chance of winning the presidency in 2024.[22] Twenty years ago, who would have predicted a man with marked cognitive decline would have such high odds of winning the presidency?
The political betting markets data also indicates there is about a 50/50 chance that a Democrat will win the presidency in 2024 with the GOP only having a slightly better chance.[23] Conservative (talk) 19:41, February 10, 2024 (EST)

An 80% chance means, for example, in a $10,000 betting pool, $8,000 is laid on Hillary Clinton and $2,000 on Donald Trump. Furthermore, $8,000 could have been laid out by ONE bettor, and $2,000 by 2,000 individual bettors. • Andrew McCarthy in NR makes a great point. If Trump gets prosecuted for obstructing investigators and Biden gets off for cooperating with them, what about Hillary? She had her lawyers smash cell phones with hammers. As for the Hur report, McCarthy calls it "flawed — at least if it is meant as a justification for not indicting the president; if it is meant as a predicate for invoking the 25th Amendment, it is quite well done."
  • Of course, the real reason not to indict Biden is that no DC jury will convict a Democrat. We need to start videotaping trials so that they can be held in one location and then shown to a random, untainted jury in another part of the country.
  • This naturally leads to the question of, what is going on in Garland's DOJ? Is he trying to get Biden removed from office? When Garland appointed Hur in January 2023, was he already plotting against Biden? If so, I suggest that indictments for Hunter are next on the menu. PeterKa (talk) 01:46, February 11, 2024 (EST)

Knives out for Merrick Garland

How can Joe Biden think that winning the election is even possible after the Robert Hur report and that press-conference-from-hell? Esquire thinks Attorney General Merrick Garland needs to be replaced with a "wartime consigliere," like in The Godfather.

In oral arguments on the Colorado case, even liberal Justice Elena Kagan acknowledged that the eligibility of a presidential candidate "sounds awfully national to me" and thus outside of Colorado's jurisdiction. But what if Donald Trump is convicted of insurrection in federal court? If they can find a federal judge somewhere who will do it just before the election, they just might be able to take Trump off the ballot.

So why hasn't the Department of Justice done this already? IMO, Garland is this election cycle's James Comey. Mark Steyn loses climate libel suit

After twelve years of litigation, a court in the District of Columbia has found columnist Mark Steyn libel for $1 million after he compared climate charlatan Michael Mann to convicted child molester and football coach Jerry Sandusky, or at least that's how the mainstream media is reporting it. This analogy was certainly in bad taste, but that isn't a basis for a legal case. After all, everyone and his brother has been compared to Adolf Hitler at some point. Although no one involved in the case lives in DC, Mann filed his case there to take advantage of the District's notoriously partisan courts.

The legal basis for the suit is actually that Steyn referred to Mann's hockey stick graph as "fraudulent":

"Michael Mann’s hockeystick graph was wildly different from hundreds of studies of other studies and instantly became the pet graph of the IPCC. It used the wrong proxy, the wrong tree, and the wrong type of averaging. Whole books were written on how bad it was. But when Mark Steyn called it fraudulent Mann sued," according to blogger Jo Nova.

Perhaps journalists have been tossing around the word fraudulent far too freely and its time to crack down. Could the MSM follow a rule under which no one can be called a fraud unless he has been convicted of fraud?

There is reason to believe that the "fraudulent" angle is just a pretext as well. Although Mann suffered no actual damages, his lawyer asked for punitive damages to deter "climate deniers." In other words, the ruling treats conservative politics as a form of malicious behavior. PeterKa (talk) 22:14, February 15, 2024 (EST)

On the bright side, the appeals court will almost certainly reduce the amount of the award. If it rules that punitive damages can be no more than five times actual damages, Mann takes home a total of $6. In addition, there is a well-known case called New York Times v. Sullivan (1964) which limits the ability of public figures to sue for libel. This precedent has already been used to absolve National Review, Steyn's publisher. Ironically, Steyn separated his case from NR's so that it could be decided more quickly. Yet it has taken longer.
None of the media commentary focuses on Steyn's use of the word "fraudulent," although one might think that this issue would be worth a mention. Steyn certainly isn't the only writer who uses this word in a nonlegal way. Instead, the commentary portrays "scientists" as a victim class. The gist of it seems to be people like Mann should be above criticism. Although a thousand headlines proclaim him to be a "climate scientist," Mann's PhD is in geology and geophysics. Hunter Biden "has never traveled to Ukraine.”

FBI informant Alexander Smirnov could not have known about an alleged $10 million bribe made to the Bidens because Hunter "has never traveled to Ukraine," according to a jaw-dropping DOJ court filing. The MSM has exploded with stories claiming that the Bidens are now vindicated. The Smirnov indictment is out and it looks an awful lot like entrapment. Smirnov had been considered a reliable informant for many years. The FBI agents never challenged him on anything. They just let him ramble until he said something that they could treat as incriminating. It's yet another story to illustrate the "Don't talk to cops" principle. According to the indictment, Smirnov claimed that Hunter has visited the Premier Palace Hotel in Kyiv many times. This, they claim, is untrue, per statement in the OP. The book written by McCarthy we selected to elevate into an audio book for the purpose of greater education is America's Retreat from Victory: The Story of George Catlett Marshall, and it is both high quality audio and it is read at a good pace. It is easy to follow while listening, but the best part is that the audio book is free and open source in the public domain so it can be shared as many times and there are no strings attached. Who Lost China? Probably the best narrative setting the record straight. Marshall wasn't a communist or a traitor; he was just naive and surrounded himself with communist advisors (kinda like Henry Wallace). RobSZelensky didn't kill himself 00:05, February 25, 2024 (EST)
At the end of World War II in August 1945, the Soviets and the CCP controlled Manchuria and much of North China. Stalin was determined to keep these conquests. The North was already a lost cause when Marshall arrived in China in December 1945. The U.S. and the Chinese Nationalists should have focused their efforts on holding territory south of the Yangtze. The Nationalist capital was Nanjing, which itself is in the South.
In late 1948, the Nationalists required everyone to convert their valuables to worthless "gold yuan." China's middle class had been the party's base of support. Now it was being scammed so that the KMT could grab all it could and flee to Taiwan. The bloodiest battle of the Chinese Civil War was the Huaihai campaign of November 1948 to January 1949. This was a battle for Beijing. After this battle, the Communists advanced southward almost without opposition.
The various Chinese armies used German ammunition. The U.S. could have sent a lot more of this to China if there had been better coordination. The British put their captured German ammo on Helgoland and blew it up in a 3.2 kiloton explosion in April 1947 called "Operation Big Bang." PeterKa (talk) 01:43, February 25, 2024 (EST)
The above linked article goes into how, after the Japanese surrender, Soviet occupiers armed Mao's forces with captured Japanese weapons to fight the US-backed Chiang Kai-shek forces. Marshall was Army chief-of-staff at the time. (Incidentally, the Russian Federation, as the successor regime of the USSR, recently reminded the Japanese government that there has never been a formal peace treaty signed with Japan since the USSR declared war in August 1945 and technically a state of war still exists). Kerch bridge attack: implications?

So what are the implications of the planned NATO attack on the Kerch bridge using German proxies?

  • Russia is willing to burn its "sources and methods" of hacking German generals because we'll all be fried before a counterintelligence investigation into the "leak" is completed.
  • NATO needs to run home with its tail between its legs and apologize for the "misunderstanding" the past 2-10 or 15 years;

Nuland out

With Nuland out, this marks the end of US involvement in Ukraine. Mike Johnson and the GOP must hold firm now not to spend another dime.

Why?

  • Zelensky is an illegitimate president after March 29, the scheduled presidential election date that Zelensky cancelled. After March 29, Zelensky can look forward to the Mussolini/Gaddafi treatment should the crowds or soldiers get ahold of his corpse to degrade it for what he has done to their country and their loved ones.
  • Deep State insiders in the German/NATO puppet regime most likely leaked the orders from Washington to attack Moscow (IOWs, it wasn't a KGB hack). "The ghost of Hitler is alive" in Germany and Europe as the Russians say. This marks the beginning of the dissolution of NATO and Germany finally reclaiming its sovereignty from the United States.
  • Using the Germans as a proxy to force the unnecessary deaths of another 500,000 people between now and the US elections in November to save the White House for whichever Democrat runs is Nuland's idea. Someone (Anita Dunn, Susan Rice, Lisa Monaco?) finally whispered in Biden's ear to pull the plug on Nuland and the Ukraine project. With the death of Nuland comes the death of NATO expansion in Ukraine.

Can a lot of ugly things happen before we see Ukrainians clinging to the wheels of aircraft and falling from the skies as the last Americans leave?. You betcha. But America is just going to have to accept another "L" and move on, as always.

RobSZelensky didn't kill himself 14:50, March 5, 2024 (EST)
Biden's style has always been to tack to the middle of the Democratic Party. There are no antiwar Dems at this point, so I find it unlikely that Nuland will be replaced by someone who wants to pull out of Ukraine. Perhaps she is leaving in response to Biden's drop in the polls, to the Supreme Court's decision to leave Trump on the ballot, or to Michelle Obama's decision not to run. Johnson plans to hold the Ukraine vote at the beginning of April. I don't think Obama wants a Dem other than himself to be president, and the threat of Biden being reelected is receding.
Update: She left because Blinken passed her over for promotion, according to this article. I am sure Blinken didn't need her hogging the spotlight. She is one of the most influential policymakers in the administration, and where is Biden himself? PeterKa (talk) 10:45, March 6, 2024 (EST)
Blinken has no authority. Her replacement is a placeholder. It is Nuland who aggressively created the current world crisis over many years, with people like Obama, Hillary, and Biden in tow.
See Larry Johnson 12 minute video for fuller explanation (I could have done it quicker). Or Gonzalo Lira, who was murdered by her cohorts for exposing her and her cohorts machinations. RobSZelensky didn't kill himself 12:09, March 6, 2024 (EST)
See also Consortium News founder Robert Perry's article from 2015, The Mess That Nuland Made. The current global crisis was delayed 4 years when Trump fired her and she was in exile. Her Ukrainian cronies hacked the DNC (not Russia), framed Manafort, and tried to blame Putin (of course editors like User:Conservative have swallowed Nuland's anti-Putin propaganda hook, line, and sinker). RobSZelensky didn't kill himself 12:44, March 6, 2024 (EST)
So Nuland was ousted after German whistleblowers leaked NATO plans to use Germany as a proxy to attack the Russian mainland. Update: Blinken appointed as Acting Secretary Nuland's re[lacement Under Secretary for Management John Bass. Business Insider reports: "Former US ambassador to Afghanistan John Bass was in the middle of teaching future US diplomats when he was called to return to the country and help lead America's chaotic withdrawal as Taliban forces swarmed Kabul...Bass was so unprepared for the assignment that he needed to make a quick run to the outdoor store REI to get the necessary gear that he no longer had since he didn't live in the nation's capital...Before leaving to buy his gear, Bass offered a quick goodbye to the class of future ambassadors he was training in suburban Virginia: "With apologies, I'm going to have to take my leave. I've just been asked to go back to Kabul and support the evacuations, so I've got to say goodbye and wish you all the best, and you're all going to be great ambassadors".
Looks like the cut n run strategy again. "As long as it takes". Yah right. As long as it takes to exterminate the adult male population of Ukraine in a pointless, hopeless cause, beneficial only to MIC stockholders like Nancy Pelosi. RobSZelensky didn't kill himself 02:26, March 7, 2024 (EST)

Trump vs Anderson: U.S. Supreme Court to the rescue

As one venerable institution after another is overrun by the woke left, we can celebrate that the U.S. Supreme Court still does its job. Expert after expert loudly proclaimed that Trump vs Anderson was unstoppable. See "The 14th Amendment Effort to Get Trump Off the Ballot Was Dumb — and Doomed." The court brushed aside this challenge to Trump's ballot status in a 9-0 vote. Aside from the legal aspects of the case, what kind of democracy would America be if major party candidates could be taken off the ballot this way?

The liberal media's line today is that ballot status is a state's rights issue. Say what? An individual state doesn't have a right to its own interpretation of the U.S. Constitution. The 14th Amendment was adopted to limit the authority of the states, some of whom had been "bad actors" in the U.S. Civil War, as Clarence Thomas put it in the oral argument.

After an amnesty was passed in 1872, the 14th Amendment's ban on insurrectionists was generally understood to be a dead letter. The idea of using antique laws to keep Trump off the ballot while screaming "democracy" is said to be the brainchild of Marc Elias. At the time of the demonstration on January 6, 2021, not many Americans knew that there was a provision in the Constitution to keep insurrectionists off the ballot. Both Gore in 2000 and Hilary 2017 had sponsored action to overturn elections. So this was an established, if unsavory, tradition by 2021. Pelosi pulled guards out of the Capitol and disorder ensued. Otherwise, January 6 would have been just another day with a demonstration at the Capitol.

Update: It's nice to know that Dems don't actually believe in either states' rights or election integrity: "AG Garland pledges to fight voter ID laws, election integrity measures." PeterKa (talk) 22:01, March 5, 2024 (EST)

The big take home here is that there has never been another president who is so angry at Americans whose only offense is that they voted for someone other than him.
