Mary Jennings “MJ” Hegar (born March 16, 1976 (age 48)) (pron. "hay-gar") is a U.S. Air Force veteran currently running for United States Senate from Texas in the 2020 elections to unseat three-term RINO Backer incumbent John Cornyn.
2020 Senate bid
Hegar announced in late April 2019 her run for U.S. Senate to challenge Republican John Cornyn.[1] The Senate campaign wing of the Democrat establishment backed her in December 2019 over all other Democrat candidates in the race;[2] she won her party's nomination to face Cornyn in the general election.[3]
According to Hegar, U.S. border policies are comparable to Chinese concentration camps.[4]
