James Langevin

James R. Langevin is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for Rhode Island's 2nd congressional district since 2001. A member of the Democratic Party,, he is the first quadriplegic to serve in Congress; Langevin was appointed to be the first quadriplegic speaker pro tempore of the U.S. House of Representatives in 2019. Langevin has announced he will not seek reelection in 2022.[1]
