Jared Forrest Golden (born July 25, 1982) is a U.S. veteran and representative from Maine's second congressional district.
U.S. House of Representatives
2018 U.S. House election in Maine's 2nd district
Golden was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2018, defeating then-incumbent Republican Bruce Poliquin.[1] While initially losing the general election to Poliquin by a margin of just over 2,000 votes, no candidate gained a majority, which triggered a ranked-choice runoff, that which Golden won by just under 3,000 votes.
