NATO war propaganda hits new low
According to the UK Sun, Russians operate Leopard 2 tanks and Ukraine uses Lancet drones. [1] (Read the comments if you don't believe it).
When consuming propaganda, bear in mind the content creators begin from the premise that you are stupid. Nowhere is this more evident than in Karen Dawisha's book, Putin's Kleptocracy, which few people have read. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 00:08, July 27, 2023 (EDT)

- Lol. They need manpower, tanks, and aircover to do it. They have none (rather, rapidly running out).

- Scenario: About November 2023, the Biden regime will begin waving the white flag; Victoria Nuland, who can cuss in Russian like a Russian sailor, has been appointed to the negotiating team. The problem with this scenario as laid out in open source from US leaks is, the Russians will not acquiesce to any NATO presence east of the Polish border. Yet the Biden regime proceeds as if it's a done deal. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 12:48, July 27, 2023 (EDT)
- Biden needs to show results before the New Hampshire primary in January. Ukraine will get the Abrams tank in September and the F-16 by the end of the year, just in time to defeat RFK Jr. PeterKa (talk) 21:28, July 27, 2023 (EDT)
- (a) it won't go that far; (b) the first F-16 that crosses into Ukraine airspace means Polish airstrips & Ramstein get nuked, or at least hit with Kinzhals and Iskanders (this is why US involvement won't last until Feb 2024); (c) the only alternate scenario is the Russo-Polish war (Poland has reserved some ammo and equipment for itself, but the US has run out and can't help. Poland does have manpower however, that can be fed into the meatgrinder since the Ukrainians are running out). RobSGive Peace a Chance! 22:29, July 27, 2023 (EDT)
- Note on manpower needs: Ukraine entered the 2022 conflict with the largest standing military and reserves in Europe. Its army was larger than France, Germany, and the United Kingdom combined. They are all dead now. Ukraine is rebuilding its army for the fourth time in this conflict now, with the average age being 37, with no prior military training or experience. And it doesn't have the combat-experienced officers either to rebuild with.
- Note on Poland: Poland's dreams of empire have to get past the voters first in the October 2023 elections, assuming the globalists won't rig that election, either. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 00:25, July 28, 2023 (EDT)
- Polish update: Being that Planet Earth knows the Wagner group is a rogue outfit outside Moscow's control, if the Wagner group were to invade Poland, NATO cannot legally justify invoking Article 5 against Russia. Wagner will easily take the NATO base at Rzeszow in Poland.
- Biden would have to invoke the Bush Doctrine against Belarus, by the precedent of holding the Taliban responsible for harboring Al Qaeda. Of course an attack against Belarus is an attack against all 85 constituent republics of the Russian Federation.
- It's a game of chicken; let a NATO member state kill a single Wagner fighter or Belarussian soldier on Belarussian territory from a NATO member states' territory, and see what happens. This scenario will likely play out once fighting between Wagner & Polish "peacekeepers" commence in Western Ukraine (and we won't even go into false flag scenarios). AI in drone warfare
For the first time in warfare, in Bradley Square, we are seeing drones equipped with artificial intelligence seeking out and choosing for themselves which targets to destroy. [2] The era of "precision guided" munitions is past. I'm sure AI robotic warfare is a relief to a lot of people's conscience. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 18:12, July 27, 2023 (EDT)
- Background: Russia entered the war with basically only one drone design, the Orlan, which looks like a hobby model available at any hobby shop. Each artillery unit had an Orlan for spotting and correcting (which the US and NATO does not have) and proved very effective. Russia acquired the Lancet (or Geranium) design from Iranian Shaid drone. It has proven extremely cost-effective. Russia is now building 1 million Lancets.
- IMO, one motive behind NATO's provoking Russia to war is to discover more about its electronic warfare and other advanced technologies. It needs this, if the US really is intent on provoking the Taiwan crisis. The US needs to know how to defeat the S-400 and S-500, seeing that Russia would share that technology with China if the Taiwan provocation plays out. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 23:38, July 27, 2023 (EDT)
- IOWs, while the US is said to have "air superiority", Russia is generally recognized as having the most advanced and superior missile defense systems on the planet (a jet aircraft is also a "missile"). Before spending more money on more advanced US aircraft, the US wants to force Russia's hand to lay some of its cards on the table about its missile defense systems, rather than US designers having to rely on guess work. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 23:55, July 27, 2023 (EDT)
- The German Leopard 2 tank, the supposed most advanced tank on the planet, is a good example of relying on guess work in its design. Of course, you don't really know how effective a weapon is going to be - no matter how much money you put into the project - until it is combat tested. The Leopard fails. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 00:06, July 28, 2023 (EDT)

Dems step up prosecution of Trump
Back in March, the idea of prosecuting a former president was considered a huge norm-buster, a violation of over two centuries of tradition. Using the legal system to take out political opposition was downright undemocratic. Now there are so many cases pending against Donald Trump that we need a "definitive guide" to keep track of them. The classified documents at Mar-a-Lago, the Stormy Daniels payoff, the phone call to the Georgia secretary of state, and Trump's role in the January 6th demonstration are all going to court, according to "target letters" issued by the relevant prosecutors.
If the Democrats are confident that Joe Biden can defeat Trump, why do they want him out of the race so badly? My theory is that Biden knows that he's not getting a second term, either for undisclosed health reasons or because of the Hunter Biden bribery scandal. He wants credit for removing Trump from U.S. politics to "finish the job," as he phrases it. Prosecuting Trump is the closest thing Biden has to a popular policy. Attacking the democratic process is thus not a matter of expediency; Its what Biden wants to be remembered for. PeterKa (talk) 09:52, July 30, 2023 (EDT)
- Fortunately, we have some proven, well qualified sources covering the matter. TechnoFog is one of the best among several; he has proven himself through the Trump-Russia scam and impeachment, Mueller investigation, Durham investigation, etc. He even attends DC court hearings. For this reason, I'm not as engaged in the current Trump prosecutions and Hunter Biden problems as previously, cause we have respected, credible sources to use.
- My focus is to connect the dots between Trump-Russia as the motivating factor and prelude to the Ukraine war - something all the same qualified sources say, but is a conspiracy so vast that when its true dimensions are known will forever be deserving of the maledictions of all honest men. Andrew McCarthy on the Trump indictments
Donald Trump may be flying high in the polls, but the reality is that the prosecutors and the Deep State decide. See "Out of all indictments, Georgia is the most perilous threat to Trump" by Andrew McCarthy. The Fulton County attorney and some Georgia jurors will decide who the next president will be -- and they are not likely to pick Trump. Trump needs to drop out and endorse somebody who can win in November. I want to see Chuck Schumer on trial for Ashlee Babbit's murder. PeterKa (talk) 11:58, August 15, 2023 (EDT)
The first thing we do, arrest all the liberals
Donald Trump could be arrested in Atlanta any time now. Three out of the four cases pending against him involve legal theories that are unprecedented in American jurisprudence. The classified documents case is the only one with a recognizable legal foundation. But by prosecuting Trump and not Hillary, Biden is attempting to rig the 2024 election. How can the wife of a former president be immune from prosecution, but not an actual former president?
As president, Trump had the authority to created his own standard for what was classified and what wasn't. He could have made everything he did legal. The only reason that we know that he didn't do this is because he is on tape admitting that he didn't declassify the documents in question. So its a case that revolves on technicalities.
There are twenty-seven Republican attorney generals in the United States. They should all be cranking up prosecutions of Democrats. Prosecute Hunter as an unregistered foreign agent of Russia and China. Prosecute Stacy Abrams, Al Gore, and Hillary Clinton for attempting to overturn elections. Prosecute BLM and Antifa for the 2020 riots. The tech giants should be prosecuted for donating to pro-riot groups in order to force Americans to shop online. Investigate the intelligence officers who told us Hunter's laptop was disinformation just before the 2020 election. See "How Should Republicans Respond To Fulton County? Indict The Left." It's a pity that popular history has been reduced to Nazis and slavery. Update. Biden routinely describes anyone who criticizes him or his policies from the right as a "white supremacist" or a "Maga Republican." He is ready to sic the FBI on us: "Biden accused of pressuring FBI to fabricate ‘extremist’ and ‘White supremacist’ cases." PeterKa (talk) 01:58, August 20, 2023 (EDT)

West scrambles to hash out details of F-16 Training for Ukraine
Say it with me. NATO Population: 1 BN, Russia: 150 MN; NATO GDP: >40 TN, Russia GDP: <2 TN. There is no way Russia can win this War.
"The scramble by the West comes as Ukraine calls for additional military capabilities to break through Russian defenses on the battlefield. And Ukraine is ramping up pressure on allies to send F-16s again this week, as Russia pulled out of a deal that allowed civilian ships to transport grain through the Black Sea; Ukraine’s foreign minister said Tuesday that the jets could help protect a corridor that is vital to global food security.
One training proposal that has been discussed involves bringing Ukrainian pilots to the United States to receive instruction from the 162nd Air Wing, an Air National Guard unit based in Tucson, Ariz., that already trains foreign partners on the F-16."

- IOWS put succinctly - all the talk from Western sources reported in Western media about Ukrainian pilots trained on F-16s and supplying Ukraine with F-16s is interpreted in Moscow as making nuclear threats (it does not matter if Western MSM fails to understand or report that fact). Please, stop spewing Western veiled nuclear threats in Main Page talk. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 02:55, August 3, 2023 (EDT)

US approves sending F-16s to Ukraine from Denmark and Netherlands
My prediction that the War will likely end by end 2024 or in about 1.5 years is looking pretty good right now. This breaking from Reuters.
"WASHINGTON, Aug 17 (Reuters) - The United States has approved sending F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine from Denmark and the Netherlands to defend against Russian invaders as soon as pilot training is completed, a U.S. official said on Thursday.
Ukraine has actively sought the U.S.-made F-16 fighter jets to help it counter Russian air superiority.
Washington gave Denmark and the Netherlands official assurances that the United States will expedite approval of transfer requests for F-16s to go to Ukraine when the pilots are trained, the official said."
https://www.reuters.com/world/us-approves-sending-f-16s-ukraine-denmark-netherlands-2023-08-17/ NishantXavierFor Christ the King 20:56, August 17, 2023 (EDT)
- I know you follow MSM, but right now the experts are giving the Zelensky regime's life expectancy about 4-5 weeks.
- As to the F-16s, they will be stripped down and the pilots are just sacrificial lambs to see how the Russians destroy the planes.
- One of the big problems with F-16 is, they need a special runway that doesn't exist in Ukraine; so if they take off from Poland or Romania, that is an act of war originating from those countries. So they have to take off from these shortened runways in Ukraine. NATO is just paying close attention to how long it takes for the Russian forces to detect them and respond, with what kind of electronic warfare, and how they will destroy them. It's just basic research the MIC needs to build into the F-35.
- And the Russians won't use their top-of-the-line technology to destroy them. They'll use older Soviet stuff that NATO has probably never faced.
- Now sure, in the F-16s first or second run they may get lucky, make a few hits, and return to base alive, which will get maximum air play for propaganda purposes. But by the third run the Russians will have it figured out, how to make the kill shot without revealing too much about their modern weapons systems (radar detection and missile defense). RobSGive Peace a Chance! 21:26, August 17, 2023 (EDT)
- The Leopard 2, for example, "the best main battle tank on the planet", didn't last one day in combat. Now it's the UK Challenger's turn. Next is the Abrams. They send them in in such limited, small numbers, not cause they expect them to be useful or "win" (a "gamechanger") in combat, but to discover their vulnerabilities and information about Russian offensive weapons. It's just experimental under real combat conditions. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 21:47, August 17, 2023 (EDT)
- Shoigu already said Russia will regard F-16s as a nuclear threat, and I just heard it repeated (the Russians are not in the habit of repeating themselves; they basically make an official statement once and leave it at that. They don't play the Western media game of tit-for-tat rhetoric timed for news cycles, but I;ll watch to see if had to be repeated). Sometimes they may give a gentle reminder on their policy, but they are not required to answer all the bluster coming from the West everytime somebody talks smack. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 06:05, August 18, 2023 (EDT)
- {Note: In diplomatic language, there is a difference between a "nuclear threat" and a "nuclear attack".) RobSGive Peace a Chance! 23:43, August 18, 2023 (EDT)
- The Russians will use that Reuters report and/or whoever it came from as simply more evidence how they are disrespected and ignored in the West. The West can laugh it off, but it carries weight in Russian domestic propaganda. So when you get clobbered with a nuke, don't say you weren't warned. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 06:08, August 18, 2023 (EDT)
If Putin was going to use Nukes, he would have used them long ago. Not to mention nuked Prighozin among others. He won't do it because he knows it'll be the end of him, and he loves his power, status and wealth - most of it ill-gotten, by some accounts he's the world's richest man, unjustly so - see this: "The Kremlin claims that Putin earns an annual salary of $140,000. His publicly disclosed assets include an 800-square foot apartment, a trailer, and three cars. But according to some experts, he may be the wealthiest man in the world with assets totaling up to $200 billion.02-Mar-2022" https://fortune.com/2022/03/02/vladimir-putin-net-worth-2022/ - too much ever to risk it. Putin shouldn't have started this War, he probably feels that way too now himself, but his ego and pride won't let him let go. All he needs to do is retreat back to his own Territory and it'll be over. But he doesn't want to do that and he won't do it until soundly defeated. He's used the "E-word" Escalation too much for it to be credible or meaningful anymore, kinda like the Boy who cried Wolf. And so, Ukraine will calmly do its duty to defend its own Territory, its own Soil, and its 40+ Million citizens whom Thug Putin is Robbing of their Happiness, their Dreams, their Future, their Security and their Prosperity. But not for long because they're rightly fighting back. NishantXavierFor Christ the King 20:29, August 18, 2023 (EDT)
- You can't have it both ways - saying Putin is an irrational madman but rational enough not to use nukes. "A world without Russia isn't worth living in" - Vladimir Putin. "We go to Paradise, but they won't have time to repent." - Vladimir Putin.
- Putin didn't start the war.
- The same nuclear scenario regarding F-16s over Ukrainian airspace will occur with or without Putin. It'll happen even if Putin had never been born. Putin has little to say over Russian Federation nuclear doctrine. In fact, Putin really isn't a military man at all. The nuclear doctrine was scripted by others.
- Here again, you are a victim of Western propaganda. Unlike the United States, the decision to use a nuke does not rest in the hands of one man, as in the US. The battlefield commander armed with a nuke, in both Soviet and Russian Federation nuclear doctrine, rests in the hands of the battlefield commander armed with a nuke. (So once the decision is made to transfer a nuke in the hands of a commander, for example the decision to arm President Lukashenko with a nuke, it is out of Moscow's hands). RobSGive Peace a Chance! 21:04, August 18, 2023 (EDT)
- Put succinctly, if Shoigu and the boys in the Kremlin transfer a nuke into Gen. Surovikan's hands, Surovikin has full authority to use it at his discretion, under Russian nuclear doctrine. He only needs to report using it back to the Kremlin afterward. That decision has already been made, and Putin was only one voice or vote in making that decision to transfer a nuke into a certain commanders' hands. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 21:07, August 18, 2023 (EDT)
- Under Russian doctrine, the Russian Ministry of Defense can hand out 20 or 30 nukes to battlefield commanders all over the planet, and each one independently, alone, has sole discretion, power, and authority to use it. The simple fact you (a) don't understand this, or (b) refuse to accept this fact and are fixated on Vladimir Putin, shows the extent of how badly you have willingly subjected yourself to Western media brainwashing. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 21:13, August 18, 2023 (EDT)
- This shows the colossal mistake NATO governments and their controlled media made in the early days of the propaganda war, by mocking the Russian military and its commanders. Russian battlefield commanders, of which there are dozens, are better trained and qualified, with better judgment of under what circumstances the use of nuclear weapons may be necessary than Joe Biden, or any NATO commander, or any nuclear armed NATO member head of state or head of government. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 21:44, August 18, 2023 (EDT)
- No, the rest of the planet does not necessarily follow the US model, where one man (supposedly) is in control of nukes (under Trump, remember, even that was questioned). In fact, following the American model or example of how a government should be structured is much at the heart of how and why this war began. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 21:19, August 18, 2023 (EDT)
- Take Pakistan, for example: when Benazir Bhutto was elected President, she had no idea who was in control of Pakistan's nukes, which individual or group of individuals made the decision to launch, or where they were even located until the CIA informed her. But that still didn't give her any authority. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 21:23, August 18, 2023 (EDT)
So let's get into the details of what Putin is describing here with the MAW (Missile Advance Warning) system. An F-16 is a (manned) missile. The MAW system detects launch, approach, and trajectory. Shoigu and others have repeatedly stated, they cannot determine whether a "nuclear capable" F-16 is or is not armed with a nuclear weapon, therefore they will regard it as a nuclear threat. Sure, you can mock the Russian MAW system as 20 years behind technological standards of the West, but too bad - the Russians have stated their position and NATO understands it. "We go to Paradise, but they won't have time to repent." RobSGive Peace a Chance! 22:16, August 18, 2023 (EDT)
As to the "E-word", escalation is not spontaneous. Escalation has all been gamed-out on both sides. You can see videos of escalation being "gamed-out" over Taiwan on YouTube. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 23:38, August 18, 2023 (EDT)
F-16 FOR UKRAINE: STEP TOWARDS GLOBAL NUCLEAR WAR:
- "The United States has finally approved the transfer of F-16 fighter jets from Denmark and the Netherlands to Ukraine upon completion of pilot training. There are no more obstacles to the supply of F-16 fighters to Ukraine, Copenhagen said.
- The United States agreed to train Ukrainian pilots on the F-16. The aircraft could be reportedly sent to Ukraine by the end of the year. Denmark and the Netherlands joined the training program, supported by the USA, Belgium, France and the UK.
- The Kremlin stated that since the F-16 is capable of carrying nuclear warheads the transfer of F-16s to Kiev would be considered a nuclear threat from the West." RobSGive Peace a Chance! 23:47, August 19, 2023 (EDT)
Larry Johnson report
CIA analyst (there is no such thing as "ex-CIA" contrary to most MSM reports, unless you are dead) Larry Johnson reports today (corroborating much of my spiel above), beginning with a quote from WaPo:
- WaPo: The bleak outlook, briefed to some Republicans and Democrats on Capitol Hill, has already prompted a blame game inside closed-door meetings. Some Republicans are now balking at President Biden’s request for an additional $20.6 billion in Ukraine aid given the offensive’s modest results. Other Republicans and, to a lesser extent, hawkish Democrats have faulted the administration for not sending more powerful weapons to Ukraine sooner.
- U.S. officials reject criticisms that F-16 fighter jets or longer-range missile systems such as ATACMS would have resulted in a different outcome. “The problem remains piercing Russia’s main defensive line, and there’s no evidence these systems would’ve been a panacea,” a senior administration official said.
Johnson: "During my time at CIA we had an expression for the Captain Obivious conclusion — we called it, “No Sh*t Analysis.” The F-16 is not a wunder waffen. It has no magical powers. It is an aircraft that can readily be identified by Russia’s robust, integrated air defense system and it will be shot down. God pity the pilots of those planes if they ever make it to the theater of battle.
The publication of this article in the Washington Post is just another sign of flagging U.S. support for Ukraine. This is sending a signal that the U.S. intel community is no longer on the Ukraine band wagon." [6]
RobS' comment: "Russia’s robust, integrated air defense system" is exactly what I spoke of above - the MIC wants Russia to lay some of its cards on the table about its modern "integrated air defense system" for research into the design of the F-35. Russia will try to hide as much as they can while using older systems. And Johnson pointedly refers to what I called Ukraine's "sacrificial lamb" pilots used on a suicide mission. Simplicius' take
Simplicius gives the same analysis, albeit from a Russian perspective [7] (quoted at length):
| I view the delivery of such planes as a very good thing. I’ve said since the beginning that all the most advanced Western arms provide essential training to Russian forces, who need to learn how to fight against these systems for the sake of a potential future war against NATO proper.
That means Russian AD operators, fighter pilots, etc., will all get critical experience on dealing with one of NATO’s top aircraft, including registering their characteristics into their radar registries for enhanced identification purposes. Such a rare opportunity to go up against and study these types of systems in a ‘low risk’ environment is crucial. It’s better to go up against them now, in Ukrainian hands and low numbers, while learning their secrets and weaknesses, than experiencing them for the first time in a full-fledged war against NATO where hundreds/thousands of them are deployed at the same time in a far more uncontrollable setting. Sure it may seem callous to want Ukraine to have better/more advanced weaponry because the argument is that some Russians will lose their lives from this, but you have to see things in a broader view. It will save more lives in the long term, in light of a much larger future war, if they can master combating these systems now. |
The F-16 is not a "gamechanger". Both Zelensky and defense minister Reznikov have said Ukraine is a testing ground for NATO weapons. It's not just tragic, but in the case of Zelensky we need to examine the moral question how he is willing to trade the lives of his own people for money as a proxy in a great power game he knows Ukraine will emerge as a loser. Re: MPR post of "Poll: Putin named World's Most Respected Leader."
Re: Main page right post of: Poll: Putin named World's Most Respected Leader. [8]
The actual news story's lead as far as it's first two sentences is: "In a recent online poll on Twitter X Joe Biden ended up dead last in an international poll on respected leaders. Russia’s Vladimir Putin was first with 35.6% of the vote followed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with 33.7% of the vote, followed by Ukraine’s Zelensky with 21.9% of the vote."
A Twitter poll can be affected by bots. I realize that a scientifically done representational poll done by Gallup International would be more expensive, but sometimes truth comes at a steeper price.
My guess is that the wealthy countries aligned with the USA would tend to be more anti-Putin. Of course, Russia has its allies too. And then much of the global south and/or poor countries are unaligned so they are better able to negotiate for the best deals. India has been unaligned for a long time. - Also, "The accuracy of a poll depends on how it was conducted. Most of Pew Research’s polling is done by telephone. By contrast, most online polls that use participants who volunteer to take part do not have a proven record of accuracy. There are at least two reasons for this. One is that not everyone in the U.S. uses the internet, and those who do not are demographically different from the rest of the public. Another reason is that people who volunteer for polls may be different from other people in ways that could make the poll unrepresentative. At worst, online polls can be seriously biased if people who hold a particular point of view are more motivated to participate than those with a different point of view."[10] Conservative (talk) 20:02, August 10, 2023 (EDT)

- According to Dima of the Military Summary channel, the Russians have 100,000 troops in this sector; according Driezen, Ukraine has no reserves left here, as the Russians just broke through their second echelon. This means, the collapse in this same sector the Russians experienced last September is being reversed, and brings the Russians up to the doorstep of the city of Kharkov. However, no siege is likely yet, as some Russians forces need to head south and deal with other frontlines elsewhere from the Ukrainian rear. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 21:00, August 10, 2023 (EDT)
- There is nothing standing between them and Kharkov. But they'll probably break-off a large contingent south to help out at Krasny-Limon first and north to secure the border - once they finish up work at Kupiansk.

- Conway, I'd be interested in hearing your assessment of what remains of Ukrainian fighters; as I understand, Ukraine only has about 40,000 NATO trained/equipped troops remaining. The rest, about 160,000, are untrained/unexperienced conscripts pressed into service with an average age over 37 (many in their 50s). There is talk of another mobilization, but there's nobody left to press into service. Fully 90% of all males (say over the age of 15) will have served before the war is over. - As far as I understand it now, here's what Zelensky's latest decree is suppose to do: his illegal order to grab conscripts off the street in select communities and regions has changed: he's now sending those guys (the kidnappers) to the front, and replacing them with returning veterans who lost an arm or leg. How a guy with one leg is suppose to chase a draft dodger down the street, as we've seen in countless videos, is unclear, but it's never been like he really cares anyway, so long as the DC gravy train keeps rolling. And apparently the new decree may apply nationwide, and not just in select regions and communities with Russian and Hungarian populations that the Kyiv regime (and NATO) seek to exterminate by sending draftees, pressed into service, on suicide attacks.
- Reports indicate foreign mercenaries are being assigned to units to shoot in the back anyone who tries to desert or refuses to attack when ordered to do so, replacing the Nazi units which now will probably see more frontline action. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 06:24, August 13, 2023 (EDT)
- The reason mercenaries have been assigned to take over the role of commissars one can only speculate, but I would guess it's because it is well known the Russians particularly target foreign mercenary groups (and have even stepped up their targeting) in both the front and rear. So evidently their numbers have been reduced, and recruiting hasn't gone so well over the past year or so. This still gives mercenaries a vital function to play, and hopefully reduces the number of foreign mercenaries deserting and returning home. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 06:45, August 13, 2023 (EDT)
- Bear in mind, certain stories leaked out about the holocaust during World War II, but most people found the stories too incredible to believe and dismissed them as propaganda. - Do you detect a change in Ukrainian society from February 2022? The commissars themselves are now being sent to the front. This means the end is near, when the military and society itself begins to collapse. Great leadership on the part of Zelensky, NATO, and all their Western civilian backers. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 07:24, August 13, 2023 (EDT)
The decree is about getting ahead of a brewing scandal re. regional recruitment officials accepting bribes from draft dodgers. It's likely some pretty rich & powerful Ukrainians will be found to have bought their sons out of serving and - politically, at least - it makes sense to nuke the entire regional recruitment leadership and start again.
There's no wider issue re. recruitment. Sure, virtually all those inclined to volunteer have done so already, but that's just what happens in any sufficiently big war. Eventually, you have to start pressing people into service. They might not be thrilled at the prospect, but as long as they know what they're fighting for - and they do - most of them will grit their teeth and get on with it. ConwayIII (talk) 21:40, August 13, 2023 (EDT)

Obama and transgenderism
Traditional history records a handful of transgendered freaks like Emperor Elagabulus (c. 204 -222). The modern history of this subject begins with John Money, who wrote a journal article about Canadian David Reimer in 1967. Reimer was born a boy and was brought up as a girl as part of a sick psychological experiment. He committed suicide in 2004. The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) gave us the word "transsexual." In 2015, Olympian Bruce Jenner announced that he was a woman. Suddenly, the issue everywhere. Thousands of years of human cultural were overturned by a Vanity Fair cover.
There was obviously more to the story, but the magazine cover was only part that the MSM was interested in telling us about. After watching this Megan Kelly video, I suspect at that we can thank President Barack Obama for this problem. He wrote up fantasies about gay sex, according to Kelly. He had a masculine-looking white girlfriend at one point. He gave her up to have a politically correct marriage with Michelle.
If you recall the panic over covid, it seems that drug companies are calling the shots these days. So how can we control them? Malcolm Gladwell has a podcast about how California and other states headed off the opioid epidemic by requiring forms to be filled out "in triplicate." I remember when "in triplicate" was a metaphor for the dumbest, most pointless form of regulation, so this backstory was fascinating. Maybe its time to do something similar for puberty blockers. They were fake, every single one. But Maranass's account just leaves us with more questions. If Obama had spent his undergrad years playing basketball and smoking dope, how did he get into Harvard? You're not even allowed to ask as far as the MSM is concerned. PeterKa (talk) 04:55, August 13, 2023 (EDT)
- Here is a recent interview with Obama biographer David Garrow. Garrow's book was a bestseller in 2017. He tracked down Obama girlfriend Sheila Miyoshi Jager as well as his homoerotic letters. The letters are part of an archive kept at Emory University in Georgia. Every major figure in the Biden administration is an Obama appointee. They run policy while Biden focuses on making money for himself and his family. Compared to Hunter's $100 million in Russian money, Obama's book deal was worth a measly $65 million. The Garrow interview I linked to argues that Obama is running this administration, much like Jefferson writing letters in Monticello telling the Madison administration what to do. Demonic ISIS Terrorism against Christians and Churches goes tragically under-reported in the world press
God will have His Vengeance on the Persecutors of Christians: "Vengeance is Mine, says the Lord, I will repay"; "You are the Apple of My Eye, says the Lord; Whoever touches you touches Me"; "Saul, Saul why are you persecuting Me ... I am Jesus, Whom you persecute", the Lord said when His Martyrs were being Persecuted, as they are still today, above all by these Radical Islamist Terrorist Thugs. Will update the Persecution of Christians in the World Today article with this shortly, but it is also News that deserves to be more widely reported.
"ISIS videos in 2022 not only gloried in the killing of Christians and the destruction of their property and churches, but also in showing kidnapped Christian villagers being forcibly converted to Islam. Our adversary sees this campaign in ideological, Islamic supremacist terms most of all.
African Christians are in a sense doubly stigmatized. Their suffering is minimized in the eyes of most of the West because they are both Africans and Christians, two categories that can be easily ignored by our enlightened elites more interested in promoting the latest fashionable progressive ideologies.
But with talk of Africa becoming a higher priority for the U.S. as a result of intensifying great power competition, it is important to understand the full scope and ramifications of this bloody campaign. Certainly, the longer it continues, the greater possibility exists of the full ethnicization of these conflicts which could further fracture already stressed states and societies. What ISIS did to religious minorities in the Middle East it is seeking to do on a continent where Islam and Christianity are relatively equally matched. The potential result is pouring oil on a simmering fire.
This comprehensive MEMRI report should be a wake-up call, not only about the military and security dimensions of the conflict in Africa that are too easily ignored, but about the ideological and cultural elements of this struggle. Only by understanding this crisis fully can we hope to address it successfully." NishantXavierFor Christ the King 15:07, August 14, 2023 (EDT)

Since NATO is a US-dominated Alliance, it follows that the Ideology - whether Atheistic and Woke, i.e. pro-abortion and pro sodomy LGBTQ, or Conservative and Christian i.e. Pro-Life, Pro-Family, Pro-Natural Marriage etc - that dominates the US will also dominate NATO. It remains that the Election of a Conservative Anti-Woke Christian President like De Santis will definitely help end the Ukraine War, because then the West will go back to promoting Christian Values. Indeed, the possibility of an American-Russian Alliance - against ISIS for e.g. which still Terrorizes much of Africa - at a not too distant date is still possible. - Presidentiual power consists of his powers of appointment, i.e. not so much what he himself does, but in the 2,000+ appointments he makes to the federal bureaucracy. No single person has 2,000 friends or acquaintances he knows personally to fill those appointments, so obviously a president is dependent on other people to make recommendations.
- Then these appointments have to pass FBI background checks, i.e. the FBI has veto power over presidential appointments.
- That is precisely the problem we face today; cause Chris Wray and the FBI aren't going to grant security clearances to anyone who wants to clean up the FBI, DOJ, CIA or any other corrupt apparatus of the US intelligence community and deep state. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 21:40, August 14, 2023 (EDT)
- The issue here isn't who's right and who's wrong, or who's the good guy and who's the bad guy; the issue is the military industrial complex will sell weapons to both sides, Christians and Muslim terrorists, to keep the fight going (but won't sell to arms competitors, like the Russians). He should propose it to a De Santis Administration, and it will almost certainly be accepted. If that's what Putin really wants, that is.
But he needs to go back to his own country first and stop trying to take Kyiv for e.g. which he unjustly attacked and had no right to do.
I did not tell him to go to hell, but only to go back to Russia's own territory. Saint John the Apostle says this: "11For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. 12Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother’s were righteous. 13Do not be surprised, my brothers and sisters, b if the world hates you. 14We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death. 15Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him." (1 Jn 3:11-15). Putin should see he isn't helping anyone - certainly not Christian - by attacking a 90% Christian Country like Ukraine, not to mention 60% of whom are his brother and sister Orthodox Christians. Putin has been misled by the Deep State's own Agents within the former KGB. They play both sides and they want to promote the narrative that America and Russia are Eternal Enemies. It doesn't have to be that way. America should stop promoting Woke Ideology, which Patriarch Kirill has demanded. That's where De Santis comes in; he is the Strongest Anti-Woke Candidate America has ever seen and will be the Strongest Anti-Woke President she has ever known either. Deccan Herald: US House Committee recommends adding India to NATO Plus
Yup, this is the Way Forward. A Joint US-India Alliance and expanding NATO to include India and other Asian Countries Allied to America. The Commie CCP's Worst Fear of all.
"NATO Plus, currently NATO Plus 5, is a security arrangement that brings together NATO and five aligned nations - Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Israel, and South Korea - to boost global defence cooperation.
Bringing India on board would facilitate seamless intelligence sharing between these countries and India would access the latest military technology without much of a time lag.
The House Select Committee on the Strategic Competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), led by Chairman Mike Gallagher and Ranking Member Raja Krishnamoorthi, overwhelmingly adopted a policy proposal to enhance Taiwan's deterrence, including through strengthening NATO Plus to include India."

- Before you go off on this rah-rah NATO spiel, as a young person you need to understand a few things. For NATO to continue to exist, it needs a bogeyman. Whoever the role of bogeyman gets assigned to, that means an arms race. An arms race, in economic terms, means you have to pay for it throughout your lifetime with higher taxes, higher inflation, and less economic opportunities for yourself for educational, employment opportunities, or starting a business (cause the nation has other priorities than your private interests). Then, when push comes to shove, you see all the sacrifices you paid for advanced arms were wasted, cause all your expensive weapons don't work and are burning up in a field somewhere like Ukraine (or worse yet, are just abandoned to our enemies cause our military and political leaders knew all along they are worthless, like in Afghanistan). Then those weapons need to be replaced. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
- So, be a little more skeptical of propaganda sources before you bite off info about who the next Hitler, or who the next Reagan is (heck, I remember when Reagan was Hitler). RobSGive Peace a Chance! 08:08, August 16, 2023 (EDT)

- Bloomberg: "China’s defense minister vowed to strengthen military ties with a string of countries around the world, while excluding from that list the Asian nation’s biggest economic and geopolitical rival, the United States."
- Translation: If Germany, the UK, and France (plus Italy, Canada or whoever else) wants to deepen economic and military ties (remember, military alliances are created to defend economic trading blocs) with China, they would have to leave NATO. And the entire NATO bloc's prosperity over the past 20-30 years has been built on (1) Russian energy, and (2) cheap Chinese manufactured goods. So it looks like people living in the NATO bloc outside the US have some tuff choices ahead, as they sink into despair and poverty as a result of American leadership and their relations with the United States. The Wire: The Siege on Manipur: Hindu Nationalists' War for Supremacy in India
Pray for India. Modi's BJP Party must lose in May 2024 and Rahul Gandhiji must become Indian Prime Minister. That's the only way this horrible Hindutva Terrorism against Christians ends. https://thewire.in/communalism/siege-on-manipur-hindu-nationalists-war-for-ethnic-supremacy
"Nazi imagination and practices of grotesque brutality are formative to Hindu nationalism. “Volksgemeinschaft” or national community was, for Nazis, the ideal society to be achieved through mass movement, statecraft, thieving, violence, race experiments, and Holocaust. The “Other” was its target.
M.S. Golwalkar, an early ideologue of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), professed deep admiration for the Nazis. An inspiration to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Golwalkar, noted: “To keep up the purity of the Race and its culture, Germany shocked the world by her purging the country of the Semitic Races – the Jews. Race pride at its highest has been manifested here.” Golwalkar continued that non-Hindus in India “may stay in the country, wholly subordinated to the Hindu nation, claiming nothing, deserving no privileges… not even citizen’s rights”. Whatever you think of the Russia-Ukraine War, Modi's Persecution of Christians are Mortal Sins on his part, as is anyone supporting them, especially someone claiming to be Christian and then supporting him.
Putin's attempt to take Kyiv is a Fact of History, despite your trying to Whitewash it: "Russia’s failure to take down Kyiv was a defeat for the ages" https://apnews.com/article/russia-ukraine-war-battle-for-kyiv-dc559574ce9f6683668fa221af2d5340

- (ec) I only have a vague outline of the events in Manipur from a few sources I haven't been able to get to yet (as another CP editor has been trolling me relentlessly for weeks and has eaten into much of my time). But your use of the term "Nazi Thugs" while excusing Ukrainian Nazi Thugs gives me pause. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 16:36, August 19, 2023 (EDT)
- Here is an example of the Ukrainian Volksgemeinshaft. Gimme something similar, if you can. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 16:41, August 19, 2023 (EDT)
- Let me expand on this: The sources I have collected from India (which I haven't been able to get to yet cause of trolling) are qualified; I will not accept MSNBC or any other MSM BS at face value (in fact, I'll probably deliberately ignore it). The link I provided shows a law passed by the US-backed fascist Kyiv regime, that requires all commercial transactions in Ukraine, even between native Russian speakers, to be conducted in the Ukrainian dialect. Imagine, a law in Canada - in Quebec or Montreal - requiring all transactions between native French speakers (many who do not understand English) to be conducted in English at the threat of arrest. And that's exactly what the guy who made this video did. He gives the address and name of the business at the end of the video to report a crime to the Ukrainian gestapo.
- Now, unlike French and English, Russians and Ukrainians can understand each other for the most part (like Spanish and Portuguese). In fact, the so-called "Ukrainian dialect" is really kinda like "hillbilly English" even spoken in rural areas and villages in Russia. It's just less sophisticated, with a smaller vocabulary, than the Russian that cosmopolitan city-slickers in Moscow and St. Peterburg speak. It has to borrow from Russian words, phrases, and idioms beyond its 50,000 word vocabulary (Russian, like English, is fully developed with a 400,000 word vocabulary). So the idea or concept of a "Ukrainian language" really is based on false pretenses, of which they are trying to build a Gemeinshaft at gunpoint. The Wire: Elections 2024 in India entering its Most Dangerous Phase
"Modi is too good a politician not to know the value of such gestures, so his profound silence has to be traced to other, more pressing concerns. The only one that springs to mind is his growing fear that, with opposition unity solidifying from month to month, the BJP is in danger of losing the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. So he has gone back to the one antidote with which he is familiar, and which worked unfailingly in Gujarat, and in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. This is stirring up hatred of Muslims and other minorities in the Hindu majority. He did not plan the Manipur violence, but these played into his hands just as the Pulwama attack had done four years ago. It is against this background that one needs to examine the riots that broke out in Nuh.
How dangerously irresponsible Prime Minister Modi’s behaviour is can be judged by comparing it with that of his predecessor Atal Behari Vajpayee. When, within months of the NDA coming to power in 1998, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and the Bajrang Dal raised a hue and cry against conversions to Islam and Christianity, began to attack Christian priests and nuns and vandalise churches, Vajpayee sharply criticised their lawlessness and undertook a fast to force BJP-ruled state governments to take stern action. When cadres of the Bajrang Dal set fire to the car in which Graham Staines, an Australian Christian missionary, and his two sons were sleeping outside a church in Odisha, and burned them alive, he took immediate action. Mass arrests followed, and in less than four years, Dara Singh, the main culprit was in prison, sentenced to death, while his accomplices received lesser sentences.
When the VHP began another campaign against the conversion of tribals to Christianity in the Dang district of Gujarat, Vajpayee pushed the state government to end it forthwith. He also called a conclave of the BJP’s coalition partners and set up a National Coordination Committee headed by George Fernandes as a counterweight to the RSS within his government. That balancing act gave India one of the best governments it has had since Independence.
When the Gujarat riots began on February 28, 2002, after repeatedly failing to contact Modi on the phone, Vajpayee sent defence minister Fernandes to Ahmedabad to call in the army to end the violence. When he visited Ahmedabad a month later, he openly criticised Modi at the Shahpur refugee camp stating, “Main yahan lashe ginane nahi aaya hoon. Aman kayam rakhna rajneetik neta aur adhikariyon ka zimmedari hai. (I have not come here to count the corpses. It is the responsibility of the political leaders and officials to maintain peace.)”

"Branded" - Christian Movie on Persecution of Christians under the CCP
"Li Chenxi has attended gatherings and read the Bible with her parents since she was little. In 1988 at just 13 years old, she's arrested while attending a gathering, then locked up in a small, dark room for one day and two nights. From then on, the CCP never stops persecuting her. She's once again arrested by the police at 17 for sending books of God's words to other brothers and sisters in the church. In an effort to force her to reveal the source of the books, the police brutally beat her father right in front of her, and parade her through the streets labeled as a "political prisoner." In 1996, the police come to arrest Li Chenxi once again. She has no choice but to flee her hometown and begin the life of a fugitive. The CCP police's frequent harassment and intimidation leaves her entire family living in a constant state of terror. Unable to withstand the long-term stress and fear, her mother has a mental breakdown, and her father, who already suffered from health problems, sees his condition deteriorate even further because of the police's brutal beating. A once-happy family is thus torn apart. While on the run, Li Chenxi joins brothers and sisters in spreading the gospel all over the country. They suffer under the CCP's reign of terror, suppressed and arrested time and time again. Some brothers and sisters are arrested and then savagely tortured. Some are beaten to death, and some are given prison sentences of more than 10 years. In late 2012, Li Chenxi is arrested once again while sharing the gospel and undergoes four long months of interrogations, attempts to extort confessions, and brainwashing."

"The NBC News/Des Moines Register/Mediacom poll released early Monday found that 42 percent of likely Republican caucus attendees in Iowa listed Trump as their first choice, giving the former president a 23-point lead over DeSantis, who was picked by 19 percent ...
Republican Sen. Tim Scott (S.C.) came in third place with 9 percent support in the new survey, followed by former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and former Vice President Mike Pence, who each received 6 percent. Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie received 5 percent support, conservative entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy received 4 percent, North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum received 2 percent and former Rep. Will Hurd received 1 percent. No other candidate received more than 1 percent support."
So first point (1) Trump is the Clear Front-Runner at 42 % and De Santis is the Clear 2nd Front-Runner after Trump around 20%. Ramaswamy whom you mentioned meanwhile is at 4%, behind Sen. Tim Scott, Nikki Haley and Christie though above the rest like Doug Burgum and Will Hurd.
Next, (2) De Santis is still being actively considered by exactly 22% of other GOP Voters, which means he could break even with Trump.
"Twenty percent of likely GOP caucus goers listed DeSantis as their second choice, with an additional 22 percent saying they were still actively considering the Florida governor." This would happen gradually as the field winnows and other candidates drop out. De Santis is not going anywhere. There's a very good chance he'll continue to be 20%+ while multiple candidates remain then move to 30-40% after that. NishantXavierFor Christ the King 09:06, August 21, 2023 (EDT)
- "NBC News poll". Lol.
- Iowa, where all the money is being spent. Nationally Trump is at 60% and DeSantis 3rd at 5%. And the debate is not in Iowa. IOWs, the debate is about national issues, not Iowa farm issues. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 09:11, August 21, 2023 (EDT)
- You yourself just said Trump is the clear frontrunner with 42% in Iowa; no, I would disagree. Trump is the "clear frontrunner" nationally with 60%, but in Iowa, if Trump were to step in doggie doo-doo and lose 1%, and all 22% "thinking" about DeSantis switched, DeSantis would win. In theory Trump is "catchable" in Iowa, but nationally he's the clear choice. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 09:20, August 21, 2023 (EDT)
Lol. There is no National Primary. The First Primary is the Iowa Primary and there Evangelical Christians are Dominant. Pro-Life, Anti-Woke Governor Ron De Santis is clearly the Conservative Christian Candidate of Choice.
Next, it's even better than I thought. Note the wording carefully: "Twenty percent of likely GOP caucus goers listed DeSantis as their second choice, with an additional 22 percent saying they were still actively considering the Florida governor."
So, (1) 19% support De Santis as first choice (2) 20% listed De Santis as second choice (3) AN ADDITIONAL 22 % say they are still actively considering the Florida governor. Can we put it all together and tally it? That means De Santis could win 19+20+22= a whopping 61%!!!
That's Amazing! And that's the Reality of Conservative Governor Ron De Santis' Amazing Popularity with the Base the Press is hiding. NishantXavierFor Christ the King 09:30, August 21, 2023 (EDT)

The only reason De Santis' measurable support declined a bit is because (1) De Santis was too focused on the Actual Hard Work of Governing rather than enjoying himself doing nothing or just campaigning - you know, like Trump raising the Debt by 8 TN Dollars, while De Santis ran Record Budget Surpluses - that Governing. (2) And because, the Press started their fake narrative that De Santis could not win. And also (3) because Trump attacked De Santis, but De Santis mistakenly didn't Punch Back (later he did) initially. I'd have advised him to.
Just wait and watch. Let the Debates pass and let's see how the candidates do. By Dec 2023, De Santis could well be leading again. NishantXavierFor Christ the King 09:38, August 21, 2023 (EDT)

- The Fourteenth Amendment (1868) says, "No person shall be...President...who, having previously taken an oath...to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof."
- This clause refers to people who served in elected office before the Civil War, then in elected office under the Confederacy, and then wanted to run for election after the Union was restored. In general, former Confederates were amnestied in 1872. A disqualification of this kind can only be enforced by the secretaries of state for the various states.
- January 6 was a demonstration protected by the First Amendment. The only way the 14th Amendment applies is if "insurrection" is interpreted to mean "something the Democratic Party doesn't like."
- This theory has been hashed over in the press more than once already. I would not call it a "bombshell." That it comes up again suggests that the MSN is once again worried that Trump can actually beat Biden in an election. In short, their fallback position is legalistic handwaving. CNBC: Trump holds big lead in new Iowa poll, but DeSantis and Scott see paths to victory
"KEY POINTS
Former President Donald Trump holds a double-digit lead over Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in a major new poll of likely Republican caucusgoers in Iowa. But the Des Moines Register/NBC News/Mediacom poll also found that a majority of respondents were still undecided as to who they will support, leaving a door open for Trump’s rivals. The poll was released days before the first Republican primary debate and the same week Trump is required to surrender to authorities in Georgia, where he faces more than dozen felony counts ...
But Trump’s advantage is still not ironclad, according to the joint survey conducted by the Des Moines Register, NBC News and Mediacom. Fully 52% of respondents said they had not yet decided who they would support, while 40% said they were certain."

Fox: DeSantis campaign boasts endorsements, latest poll numbers as signs of momentum in Iowa
De Santis is doing extremely well in Iowa, despite the Fake News Media trying to create a Fake Narrative to the contrary. The below proves it.
"Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has received a historic 40 endorsements from Iowa state legislators, his campaign says
Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis' campaign is boasting of endorsements and the latest poll numbers as signaling growing ground support in Iowa.
DeSantis’ team said he’s received a historic 40 endorsements from state legislators and has a total of 120 county-level chairs supporting him – at least one in each of the state’s 99 counties. That’s the most of any candidate in the race, DeSantis campaign spokeswoman Carly Atchison told Fox News Digital.
The Florida governor — just months away from Iowa caucus day — also has more than 10,000 Iowans committed to caucus for him, representing one-fifth of the total Iowans who caucused for former presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, when Cruz won the Iowa caucuses in 2016 ...
Despite having more than $20 million spent against him, DeSantis is still viewed as favorable by two-thirds of likely caucus-goers, the highest favorability of any candidate in the field, according to a new Des Moines Register/NBC News/Mediacom Iowa Poll of 406 likely Republican caucus-goers conducted Aug. 13-17 ...
The Des Moines Register poll shows 66% of respondents viewed DeSantis favorably, compared to 29% who saw him as unfavorable. This was ahead of the current frontrunner, former President Donald Trump, who was viewed as favorable by 65% of respondents.
DeSantis is also the first choice, second choice or being actively considered by 61% of likely caucus-goers, just slightly behind the 63% of respondents who said the same for Trump. No other candidate has broken out of single digits."

Politico Opinion Piece - 3 Ways the Ukraine War could end
Yah yah yah we've heard all this bs before and know the endgame. 'Fool me once, shame on you...' | ||
Point 3 is that the War could conceivably end, with part of Ukraine joining NATO, at the July 2024 NATO Summit in Washington:
"Fortunately, there is a third possible way to satisfy the need for Ukrainian success and Russian failure, over which Putin would have no veto.
In this scenario, the United States would give the Ukrainian military whatever it needs to advance as far as possible in its counteroffensive. At an appropriate point next year, Ukraine would declare a pause in offensive military operations and shift its primary focus to defending and rebuilding liberated areas while integrating with Western institutions. Then, at its July, 2024 summit in Washington, NATO would invite Ukraine to join the Western alliance, guaranteeing the security of all territory controlled by the Ukrainian government at that point under Article 5 of the NATO treaty.
Offering Article 5 protection to Ukrainian territory in this fashion would be akin to admitting a divided Germany to NATO after World War II and to America’s security pact with South Korea after the armistice that halted the Korean War without reunifying the Korean Peninsula. This would be a defensive pact, but not a commitment to take direct part in any future offensive operations Ukraine might choose to undertake." https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2023/08/18/how-to-end-ukraine-war-00111752 NishantXavierFor Christ the King 22:17, August 21, 2023 (EDT)
- Yah, this news is a couple of days old. What's happening is the blame game. NATO and the US intel community want out, but don't want to be seen as the losers. So they have to blame Zelensky and Ukrainians as cowards. Zelensky may not be that stupid, that he doesn't see the handwriting on the wall, that he's about to get dumped like the Afghan National government, the government of South Vietnam, the Shah of Iran, Ferdinand Marcos, Guido in Venezuela, etc etc etc etc. So you can take your "as long as it takes" rhetoric we've heard for 18 months now and stick it up your butt (as I've been warning). NATO is just trying to create some excuse to get to get the H out without being seen as the loser.
- If NATO wants to grant Ukraine Article 5 status, fine. Let NATO come back itself and fight Russia, now that NATO has virtually exterminated the adult male population of Ukraine with BS promises.
- When Russia set out to denazify Ukraine 18 months ago, it was fully prepared to demilitarize and denazify NATO and Western Europe, if necessary. They've only partially succeeded in demilitarizing NATO. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 07:52, August 22, 2023 (EDT)
- Biden could have sent over F-16s and ended this war a long time ago. Why didn't he? Perhaps it has something to do with the $31 million in Chinese money or the $100 million in Russian money that Hunter has collected. Like Deep Throat said, follow the money. PeterKa (talk) 13:46, August 22, 2023 (EDT)
- We've discussed the F-16s extensively on this page; they are not the gamechanger, and the only difference they make is raising the threat of nuclear war. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 14:08, August 22, 2023 (EDT)
- They may send 6 over there (where they take off from remains a problem); after the first 1 or 2 are shot down, the American defense contractors will have gathered enough intelligence (presumably) about Russia's advanced air defense systems (S-400, for example) and electronic warfare to integrate into the design of the F-35. That's it. After that, the war is over, and Ukraine's use as an "experimental testing ground" (Zelensky & Reznikov's words) is over. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 14:13, August 22, 2023 (EDT)
- The Russians talk about a nuclear response all the time. The most common threat these days is not about F-16s or any other specific weapons system, but rather that they will use nukes if they are losing the war. This of course suggests that the military balance has already turned against them. As we saw in Afghanistan, Biden has a thing for losing wars. Whatever terms Putin wants, I'm sure Biden would make an effort to accommodate. Just have another oligarch send an additional $100 million over to Hunter.
- Putin to likes to win wars, Biden likes to lose them. Why can't they make a deal? The problem is that Putin isn't fighting for Crimea, Donbass, Mariupol, or any other item that Biden can accommodate him on. For Putin to stay in power, he needs endless war. If Russian forces ever reach Kyiv, they will continue to Poland or Moldova. After all, Putin is at war with Nato, not Ukraine. George Orwell explained how this works in Nineteen-Eighty Four. PeterKa (talk) 15:31, August 22, 2023 (EDT)
- Russia won the war over a year ago. You've been exposed to waaay too much Western propaganda.
- It looks like right now funding will be cut off (even Dem Ranking Members in the House admit the war is lost); the CIA wants out. The problem is NATO covering its butt, cause nobody wants to admit defeat.
- So this means a negotiated settlement on Russia's terms, which could take place before year end, or a continued losing fight which the peoples of Europe and America don't want, and more Ukrainians exterminated by NATO & Biden regime policy. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 16:03, August 22, 2023 (EDT)
- We're at the point Hitler was at in February 1943 after the surrender at Stalingrad. The war was lost, but Hitler fought on for more than two years, causing needless deaths of millions. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 16:07, August 22, 2023 (EDT)
- Put succinctly, if Congress gives Biden the $24 billion he asked for, it means more Ukrainian dead and more territory lost. Either way, the war ends now, next year in 2024, or in 2025 - the war ends on Russia's terms.
- The American people are not ready to be mobilized for war with Russia, neither are the European after the last Ukrainian is killed. America does not have the factories to build weapons, nor does it have the trained workers to work in those factories.
- If you want nukes as America's first line of defense since we can't build the conventional weapons, or the ships and aircraft to transport them to the battlefield, or the fuel to power them, fine. It won't defend America from nuclear attack. The only alternative is for NATO to get the H out of Ukraine, and never return. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 16:35, August 22, 2023 (EDT)
Heh. Laughable. You are living in Dream-Land, Rob, but I will not be the one to wake you up right now. I'll let harsh reality do that later. A word to the wise, you cant' fight statistics.
Will repost something I shared in the Conservapedia Debate on this: "Ukraine/NATO will win. Will explain why later as I'm busy writing other articles now.
For now, just consider the GDP and Population of Russia vs NATO Respectively.
NATO GDP: > 40 Trillion Dollars. Russia GDP: less than 2 Trillion Dollars.
NATO Population: Around 1 Billion People: Russia Population: less than 150 MN.
No contest. No contest. Russia knows this, which is why it will never invade Finland (or any NATO Country)." That says it all. Putin's Kremlin knew it had itself caused Finland and Sweden to join NATO, but it was then forced to accept it, and will not risk invading then. NishantXavierFor Christ the King 17:16, August 22, 2023 (EDT)
- Rob says Stalingrad 1943. My historical analogy is Afghanistan 1986. At that time, some traitor deputy CIA director was holding up approval for the Stinger missile. Once it was approved, the Soviet Union was history. Today, we have the same situation with Atacms, long-range HIMARS, and F-16s. The Russians know exactly who to pay off to stop delivery. PeterKa (talk) 17:31, August 22, 2023 (EDT)
- (ec) The United States doesn't even manufacture TNT which is required for artillery shells.
- Democratically speaking, the majority of the population in NATO countries in Europe and North America oppose further escalation, so the 1 billion figure is meaningless. 2/3 of the planet support Russia.
- GDP numbers measured in dollars is meaningless. It's calculated by exchange rates, and takes no account of the value of resources and their reserves like oil, gold, uranium, etc which Russia is among the world's largest holders and producers (IOWs, the method of calculation is flawed; that's how NATO blundered into the war). With de-dollarization, the exchange rate has no future in those calculations.
- Here's a dirty little secret that I don't have the time or space to go into why, here and now: The United States, since the beginning of the Cold War, has never depended on conventional weapons as its first line of defense. The United States has always relied on nuclear weapons for the simple fact the US could NEVER compete the with the Soviet Union then, or Russia now, in conventional arms production. It costs more to produce a tank to transport it to the battlefield in Europe cause enough ships and planes also have to be built to transport the weapons in any significant or equal numbers. And Russia can always raise the cost to the US by producing more, and delivering them to the battlefield, quicker.
- Heck, the US could never compete with German tank production, then or now, for the same reasons.
- Succinctly, the cost of building conventional weapons throughout the Cold War and until now, as it has been represented to the American taxpayer, has ALWAYS been a fraud, and is just a boondoggle to Congressional districts. The US has never relied on conventional weapons as its first line of defense, the Soviets then, and the Russians now, have always known this. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 17:42, August 22, 2023 (EDT)
- Russia went into this war in 2022 knowing the United States, even with its NATO allies, cannot win a conventional war against Russia. If nukes are to be used, it will the US decision. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 17:52, August 22, 2023 (EDT)
- The United States has always relied on its "first strike" capabilities - not a "last resort" = these scenarios using both conventional and nuclear have been gamed out routinely on both sides for many years. And they have been openly discussed in arms control talks. Since about 2013, the same nitwits who came up with idea of overthrowing the Ukraine government, have advanced the US doctrine of "nuclear primacy", i.e that the US can do a first strike and survive, or at least a 150 million Americans may survive. Of course, nobody really knows, given the total incompetence of US intellig3nce in gauging Russian military strength.
- That's an eternal problem in US intelligence: they always have to decide what they should tell policymakers - what they actually know or what the decision makers want to hear. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 19:18, August 22, 2023 (EDT)
- I never knew the full story of......how the Soviets won the Cold War. PeterKa (talk) 21:46, August 22, 2023 (EDT)
- It's simple logistics. In WWII, the Germans and Soviets were in competition to build bigger, better tanks. The US could never compete, cause the cost of ship building had to be figured into the unit cost of each tank. The tanks had to be smaller to pack them on ships. The Russians and Germans can roll them off the assembly line straight into battle.
- I never knew the full story of......how the Soviets won the Cold War. PeterKa (talk) 21:46, August 22, 2023 (EDT)
- Nothing changed over the Cold War, other than the ability to deliver a few by aircraft.
- In the 1970s, the Pentagon wanted to go a two-man tank, but Congressmen who served in tanks units in WWII wanted to stick with a 3 man tanks. Political interference in war planning and weapons design didn't really matter, cause tank production, among other conventional ground weapons, were never relied on as America's first line of defense in the event of war with the USSR. So they remained just a boondoggle for jobs in various districts.
- In the Gulf War, you saw the same thing. The US delivered 1,000 Abrams to the battlefield, a superior tank to Saddam's 6,000 T-62 (do the math, an Abrams would have to knock out six T-62s to have a 50/50 chance of survival. But they were held back and never saw action, as the A-10 Warthog knocked out all Saddam's tanks. The Abrams were there just for show, despite all the media hype.
- You see the same thing right now - the Abrams are held back, while German Leopard 2 are sent in to go toe-to-toe with T-90s. Not that the Abrams isn't in the class as a Leopard 2 or T-90, it's just that they are way more expensive (when you factor unit cost of delivery to the battlefield), and the risk of loss and replacement is too much.
- American tanks and conventional weapons are cosmetic, cause the US has since 1949 relied on its nuclear first strike capabilities in the event of war with Russia. By the end of the Korean war, the Soviets reached nuclear parity and have held it ever since (with the theoretical exception of the neocons who came up with this nuclear primacy doctrine in 2013, which is the cause of this current conflict, and may be implemented once all the Ukrainian, Polish, Baltic, and German proxy soldiers are dead. A nuclear first strike then will be the only option America has left if it wants to continue war.) RobSGive Peace a Chance! 23:32, August 22, 2023 (EDT)
- This war has changed battlefield doctrines going forward permanently. ISR and drones have made maneuver warfare and "Big arrow" offensives obsolete. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 23:49, August 22, 2023 (EDT).
- Sure, America has been a large conventional arms producer for sale to third parties, but designing weapons to go toe-to-toe with modern Russian weapons has always been built on guess work, and is not a priority cause of the nuclear first strike doctrine. De Santis' Record on Conservative Judges in Florida
"He added, "And in Florida, I inherited a very liberal state supreme court, maybe the most liberal in the country, very activist. A note on Radio Sputnik: This dates back to Richard Nixon and Detente. Nixon made an agreement with Brezhnev where each side could have two uncensored, government run radio stations in the other's country. In the US, it's DC & Kansas City; in Russia it's RFE/RL in Moscow and I think St. Peterburg. Both sides' stations editorial stance, and are staffed by, enemies of the regime. Radio Sputnik DC regularly interviews an American citizen living in Moscow and teaching at Moscow University Sociology Dept, Mark Sloboda. His spin in this broadcast will be the official regime narrative. Debate Reviews: De Santis, Haley, Pence did well. Christie lost an exchange to Ramaswamy and Ramaswamy lost one to Haley
So, I watched the debate and been reading some reviews. Lots of people mentioned (1) Haley's exchange with Ramaswamy on Foreign Policy, and most acknowledge she won that. Likewise, (2) Ramaswamy won his on Trump vs Christie. (3) Pence criticized R on multiple issues (3) De Santis held his own and stood above the fray and talked about his Conservative Record and his Winsome Policies and Successful Re-Election.
Good Debate: I would say De Santis, Haley and Pence did the best. Ramaswamy, Christie and Scott next. The other two barely showed up.
The NYT below quotes 2 Conservative Debate Reviewers:
"Rich Lowry, the editor of National Review, said during the debate that he expected Mr. DeSantis to “deal with constant incoming” attacks. By the end, Mr. Lowry said that Mr. DeSantis had “helped himself” by sticking to his message — and took “no incoming fire.”
Other observers noted Mr. DeSantis’s ability to stay in comfortable territory, trumpeting his conservative track record in Florida as proof that he could steer the Republican Party to success.
Mary Katharine Ham, a journalist and conservative commentator, called Mr. DeSantis’s strategy “effective.”
“Gimme a topic. Yeah, I did that thing. Let me tell you what I did. It happened in Florida. Results,” she said, summarizing his approach."

50 MN+. Amazing Number. I predict De Santis will have around 100 MN people voting for him by the time all this is over. In the Debate, some things were clear: (1) Among Trump contenders, only De Santis, Haley and Pence are Top Tier Contenders (2) Christie and Ramaswamy Tier II or III. The others non entities who barely showed up. When it comes to 4 last candidates, it'll be Trump and those 3. When to 2, most likely Trump and De Santis.
And after that- De Santis still has High Favorables and many consider him their Second Choice, as that Poll I mentioned showed- its Anyone's Game. I think De Santis will do very well in head to head against Trump, not to mention against Biden. Yup, told you so. Here it is: "poll taken after the first GOP presidential primary debate on Wednesday showed that a plurality of Republican voters felt that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis won the night.
According to a Washington Post poll, conducted alongside FiveThirtyEight and Ipsos, 29% of Republican voters polled said that DeSantis performed the best out of the eight candidates on the stage in Milwaukee.
The poll was conducted from Aug. 23-24 and polled 775 potential Republican primary voters who watched the debate."

Roll Call: Majority don't want Trump Biden Rematch in 2024
See this from Roll Call: "With a Joe Biden vs. Donald Trump rematch being the current conventional wisdom, the 2024 election — mired in personality — is quickly becoming the election that voters don’t want. In fact, a solid majority of voters have an unfavorable view of each of the leading candidates, as people wonder whether either man can manage the increasing turmoil coming from all sides.
What is clear in most polls is the sorry fact that voters don’t want either candidate to run. An Economist/YouGov poll conducted June 10-13 found 59 percent of voters don’t want Biden to seek reelection, with only 26 percent favoring a run for a second term.
In the same poll, Trump got similar results — with 56 percent against him running again compared to 33 percent in favor. Independents were against either candidate running again, with 64 percent against Biden and 59 percent against Trump." NishantXavierFor Christ the King 23:24, August 24, 2023 (EDT)
- The Dump Biden movement gains momentum. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 23:26, August 24, 2023 (EDT)
Yup. But Trump is only 5 points behind at 59. NishantXavierFor Christ the King 23:29, August 24, 2023 (EDT)
- At this point, the only way for the Dems to get away from the charge of election tampering and interfering with American democracy is to dump Biden and hope the allegations don't stick to Newsom or whoever and the party as a whole. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 23:31, August 24, 2023 (EDT)
- Consider the source, Roll Call magazine. Its readership is aimed at members of Congress and their staff, not the general public (as in the warning they sent out last week to conservative members not to endorse Trump cause you'll get indicted); this is message to Biden supporters in Congress to dump Biden, cause a majority in the public don't want him to run again. Roll Call could care less about Trump, cause Trump doesn't live and work in DC now. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 23:35, August 24, 2023 (EDT)
That doesn't change the fact that some 60% don't want Trump to run, like 65% for Biden.
And Bro Rob, mere "allegations" are not going to do anything. They're very happy to win and get into the White House while Conservatives are reduced to making "allegations". What we need is a Solid, Proven Conservative who will (1) prevent them from Cheating (2) Win by such a clear number - e.g. 100 MN votes or so - that even Cheating will not swing it for the Dems. And Conservative Champion Gov. Ron De Santis is that Man who can do that and stop the Deep State from Election and Governing Interference. Biden, Newsom, whoever it is, Conservatives need to do both (1) and (2) above to win and Presidential De Santis will. NishantXavierFor Christ the King 23:40, August 24, 2023 (EDT)
- (ec) As a daily "news" publication, Roll Call is about as swampy and deep state as you can get - cause that's who it's aimed at and that's who its readers are - the DC swamp (there are numerous other publications, think tank & government reports, newsletter blogs etc. But this is supposed to be an up to the minute "news" publication). It outlines all the "talking points" before even the MSM gets them. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 23:46, August 24, 2023 (EDT)
- "It doesn't change the fact...". What makes you think it's a "fact"?
- In assessing the veracity of any supposed "news" organization, look first at its intended audience. This is not meant for mass consumption. It is outlining a strategy and talking points. Hopefully then, the MSM will pick it up: "Polls say the public doesn't want either of them to run." RobSGive Peace a Chance! 23:46, August 24, 2023 (EDT)
- So yes, it is advocating for a DeSantis-Newsom contest, which Fox News is already working on (old news). The problem for the Swamp is getting from here to there with the MSM and public onboard. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 23:50, August 24, 2023 (EDT)
So if allegedly it's wrong, then how do you know what was reported about Biden is allegedly correct? Maybe Majorities actually want him too, lol. - I don't know how you come up with any of that. It's a cooked poll that comes up the message that a supposed majority don't want either to run, rather than "Trump indictments kill chances", which is the news they'd like to run. Reminder from 2016: Donald Duck Trump claimed Ted Cruz "stole" the Iowa Caucuses after losing to Cruz there
"Trump accuses Cruz of ‘fraud,’ calls for new Iowa election

Donald Trump’s moment of humility didn’t last long. The billionaire businessman, still licking his wounds after a decisive loss in Iowa on Monday, is now crying foul, accusing Ted Cruz of stealing the election and calling for a do-over.
After congratulating Cruz during his concession speech on Monday night, Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday morning to make the case for why his loss was a crock.
“Ted Cruz didn’t win Iowa, he illegally stole it. That is why all of the polls were so wrong any [sic] why he got more votes than anticipated. Bad!” Trump tweeted Wednesday morning. The tweet disappeared within minutes of posting and was replaced by with another that no longer included the word “illegally.”
He followed up with an ultimatum: “Based on the fraud committed by Senator Ted Cruz during the Iowa Caucus, either a new election should take place or Cruz results nullified,” he tweeted. Trump said later Wednesday that he’ll likely sue. “I probably will; what he did is unthinkable,” he said during an interview with Boston Herald Radio."

- These programmed stories will be published daily between now and November 2024.
- The reason the Dems came with no-name candidates like Carter in 1976, Clinton in 1992, Obama in 2008 is cause they were a blank slate. An unknown quantity. They had no baggage. When you run a known quantity like Hillary, Trump, Gore, etc. they carry baggage. This does not make the case for Desantis as long as Trump is willing to fight.
- Now, you can argue the case that a DeSantis-Trump primary contest is like the 2008 Hillary-Obama contest where the dark horse beat the known incumbent. That may appeal to Democrats who are naive and like to gamble, but conservatives value experience. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 01:45, August 25, 2023 (EDT)

To try to pin it on Trump, if you're getting these talking points from the DeSantis camp, only makes you look like an opportunist. We are, after all, conservative Republicans, not idiot Democrats who fall for any line of BS. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 02:06, August 25, 2023 (EDT)
Well, I'm an Investment Banker, so fairly Good at Economics. Next, it's an objective fact he raised it by 8 TN Dollars, while De Santis ran record Budget Surpluses: "TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the surplus for Fiscal Year 2021-22 is $21.8 billion – the highest in state history and more than 21 percent above the state budget for the fiscal year. Collections in May were $742 million above estimates, and preliminary data for June collections are approximately $950 million above estimates.
“Despite the headwinds created by the Biden administration’s policies, Florida is in a strong fiscal position because we preserved freedom and kept our economy open,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “Our responsible policies have allowed us to make record investments to support our communities, promote education, protect the environment, and provide record tax relief for Floridians, all while building record reserves to protect the state against the reckless fiscal policies from Washington.” https://www.flgov.com/2022/07/07/governor-ron-desantis-announces-record-surplus-for-fiscal-year-2021-22/ Finally, the Buck stops with Trump. He was the President and should have done better. He also should have fired Fauci and reduced dependence on the CDC. He did some ok things. But De Santis is better than him. - Persistent budget surpluses aren't much more healthy than deficits. The government has to do something with that money, it has to buy assets and invest in something. It leads to a situation where the government eventually owns everything, like communism. Should be able to understand that. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 07:35, August 25, 2023 (EDT)
Boom! Gov Ron De Santis now LEADS Trump in Vote Consideration
Wow! Gov. Ron De Santis now actually LEADS Trump in Vote Consideration, i.e. Share of Republican Primary Voters considering voting for each Candidate now after the Debate versus before it happened.
From: https://twitter.com/GiancarloSopo/status/1694802983085568003
"Ron DeSantis won the debate. Among Republican primary voters who watched the debate:
- 1. DeSantis was rated #1
- 2 DeSantis now leads Trump by 6 pts in vote consideration
- 3 DeSantis has the highest favorables among all candidates

- I can find polls that say Ramaswamy won the debate. It means nothing. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 07:36, August 25, 2023 (EDT)
- And virtually no one says they won't vote for Trump cause he refused to debate. No matter how you measure it, it's tainted. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 07:38, August 25, 2023 (EDT)
- You can't ignore the 800 lb. gorilla not in the room. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 07:39, August 25, 2023 (EDT)
Please read carefully. De Santis was 63 before the Debate adn is 87.5% after it. Trump was 81.4% before it and is 66.2% after it. Can you please post the Graph Image as a Picture here so we can analyze it more? Imo, it was a mistake for Trump not to show up, but to each his own. NishantXavierFor Christ the King 08:13, August 25, 2023 (EDT)
- It's tainted no matter how you cut it. The 40%+ frontrunner was not included. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 08:30, August 25, 2023 (EDT)
Massive 260,000 Russian Losses in 1.5 Years of Putin's War
I'd not been following this page for some time, but showed up on my feed today. This page is a Government Account, and it has been consistently and periodically updated from the beginning of the War. It is certainly a Credible Source, though Kremlin-backers won't like it. Of course, if it showed 26,000 instead of 260,000, they might like it, but facts are facts, and facts show Russia is losing many men.

- It's bs. Russia KIA is about 40,000, Ukrainian 180,000+. I'm giving a 4.5 :1 kill ratio, but it's easily 5:1, and realistically more like 7:1.
- Just count the ratio of artillery shells fired, and translate that into deaths for verification. There are other ways, too.
- Since the start of the war, Kyiv has lied (beginning with the ghost of Kyiv). Those casualty figures all come from Kyiv, and repeated unquestioningly by Western MSM. In contrast, Moscow knows it's at a disadvantage in the propaganda war, so it has built and guarded its credibility closely. Moscow reports the casualty figures it gives out on Ukrainian KIA it picks up from front line radio intercepts, and there is no reason to doubt them.
- The Russians are very experienced at war, much more than the West. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 08:18, August 25, 2023 (EDT)
- Again, it's all programmed. Kyiv is losing public support from the West, and the soldiers and public are demoralized. So they have to release these figures in response to the latest CNN poll on American popular support for funding.
- All along, on virtually everything, Kyiv and the West have used projection - ascribing to Russia their own actions and results. There is solid evidence of 260,000 Ukrainians dead and wounded, maybe even twice as much; some now are saying Ukraine has in excess of 200,000 dead. Whatever the kill rate, multiply by 3 or 4 the casualties, most of which are permanent and will never return to combat. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 08:27, August 25, 2023 (EDT)
Russia claimed that before too, but then they did a Major Mobilization. They wouldn't have to do that if they hadn't lost many Soldiers. There's hardly any appetite in Russia for a Further Mobilization. It remains that Putin will, in 1 or 2 years, have to leave Ukraine. It's happened before and no Reason it can't happen again. This doesn't have to break out to WWIII. America left Iraq and both America and Russia left Afghanistan. When Nations realize they can't win, they go home, start over and focus on resolving domestic problems. NishantXavierFor Christ the King 08:28, August 25, 2023 (EDT)
"It seems the Kremlin has largely given up on gathering troops for its war in Ukraine through mobilization. Likely because Russia's leadership remains fearful of a domestic political backlash. Instead, they have been upping efforts in recent months to encourage men to sign up voluntarily and serve as contract soldiers.
That said, Putin is keeping the mobilization option open just in case — his first mobilization decree remains legally in force."

- Oh yes, the Russian casualty rate has increased in the past 3 or 4 months, true. They lost maybe 24,000 KIA in the first 14 months, and probably 10,000 to 12,000 since May of this year. The Russians have gone from under 100 dead and wounded daily to over 100 this summer; Kyiv right now is losing an average of 700 daily, up from 500 it has been losing since June of 2022 continuously. Reuters: Russia lost 3.3 Trillion Rubles in just the First Half of this Year in the Form of Reduced Oil Revenues
"MOSCOW, July 5 (Reuters) - The Russian budget's oil and gas revenues fell by 47% to 3.38 trillion roubles ($37.4 billion) in the first half of the year from the same period in 2022, finance ministry data showed on Wednesday, as tax returns fell because of lower prices and sales volumes." https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/russian-oil-gas-budget-revenues-almost-halved-january-june-2023-07-05/
Poor Russia. If I lived in Russia, and Putin had asked me about the decision to invade, I'd have said: "For the Love of God/Christ, and for the Love of Russia, don't do it!" Leaving aside the Morality and Violation of Just War, this is an Economically Poor Decision.NishantXavierFor Christ the King 08:22, August 25, 2023 (EDT)
- Meaningless. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 08:29, August 25, 2023 (EDT)
Given Russia's small economy, not even 1/10th as Large as America's, it is Anything but Meaningless. It shows the War is not sustainable.NishantXavierFor Christ the King 08:33, August 25, 2023 (EDT)
- RobSmith's rejoinder: "Meaningless".
- What a sad and pathetic rejoinder. Denialism and cognitive dissonance is strong in RobSmith.
- And not only oil and gas revenues down, but the ruble has also seen a big decline. So if people pay for gas and oil in rubles, Russia makes less money. Conservative (talk) 08:46, August 25, 2023 (EDT)
