Regeneron
Regeneron is the experimental medication given to President Donald Trump for treating COVID-19. Regeneron is a coronavirus antibody cocktail.
On October 30, 2020, the company Regeneron announced that an independent data monitoring committee overseeing the clinical trials recommended that the company cease enrolling hospitalized patients who require a ventilator (or high-flow oxygen) and that this recommendation was due to a potential safety issue as well as an unfavorable risk/benefit profile in the trial data.
Earlier Regeneron applied to the FDA for an emergency use authorization for this antibody cocktail.
Regeneron's antibody cocktail is manufactured from antibodies found in the blood of those contracted coronavirus but recovered.
Eli Lilly also has an antibody treatment for COVID-19.
