The Emergencies Act in Canada authorizes a tyrannical infringement on basic liberties and property at the whim of a government official, such as in quelling disagreement with him.[1] It would be blatantly unconstitutional in the United States.
In February 2022, Leftist Justin Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act to smash the windows of peaceful truckers, and seize their trucks and bank accounts.
