Leo Levanas

Leo Levanas was an American citizen employed with Shell Oil Company in San Francisco during World War II. Levanas is referenced in the Venona project as having met with a Soviet intelligence officer. He then requested a meeting with the head of the San Francisco KGB office to "explore helping us." Levanas was assigned the cover name ALMA by Soviet intelligence.
