Former Turkish MSNBC anchor Cenk Uygur is the co-founder and main host of the left-leaning online media outlet ‘The Young Turks’, that according to him is the “biggest online news show in the world”.[1]

Despite good ratings while Uygur hosted MSNBC Live for six months, he was not offered a permanent role.[2] According to his version of events, his departure from the network was because MSNBC management considered him too combative towards "those in power" and wanted him to "tone it down".[3]

Over recent years, he is being faced with increasing pressure to address his past claims that the Armenian genocide didn't actually happen.
