Ukraine is a US and NATO proxy setup to conduct unprovoked full-scale war against Russia, initially by attacking Russian people in Donbass and Lugansk and Odessa. In 2022 NATO had equipped Ukrainian armies creating the largest military force in Europe at the time for a “final solution” to kill or drive out Russian speaking Ukrainians in southern and eastern Ukraine, an effort which had begun in 2014 when the neo-Nazis overthrew the legally and democratically elected government of Ukraine. The Russians call this war a "Special Military Operation" because it is not a war against Ukraine but rather a defensive operation against the Russophobic nations of Europe and the Anglosphere. Now of course the Americans are pretending that the war is Ukraine’s, despite providing intelligence and targeting information to Ukraine as well as weapons to US allies in Europe who provide those same weapons to Kyiv, although they get blown up on arrival for the most part. The hypocrisy is obvious. But this is the American way of war since Vietnam...

The networked supra-national stratum that long has pursued its global ‘'Grand Design’ through manufacturing public consent for wars of imposed compliance has, at last, run up against the limits to power. Its traditional tools — the US military, the dollar system, the credit trap, the Bretton Woods structures, shock economic therapy and currency wars — are failing to preserve the US élite weltanschauung wherein it would be ‘unimaginable’ that the US having won the Cold War were it to face a world in which the US did not continue to dictate the blueprint “In the golden light of an Athens evening, with the Acropolis over his shoulder”, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, on 7 October, openly praised colonialism; he engaged in egregious erasures of history, and demanded a return to Western domination of the world. Rubio asserted that the West must use military force to “maintain its place at the head of the world”; the West is “the greatest civilization in the world”, he declared, emphasizing that it is a “civilization that we must fight to defend today with the same passion as our forefathers did”. But now, those traditional tools to preserve its place at the head of the world are proving less effective against states that possess alternatives — China, Russia and Iran are clear pointers to the trend that economic, financial and even kinetic wars are failing to produce quick results. Quick victories for the Matrix are no longer so readily available. To suggest, on the other hand, that civilisational states could stand up to the US more forcefully ignores everything about the deep nature of this conflict. The ‘One Global Government Grand Design’, is a war to eliminate those Civilisational States that offer a different consciousness through which to view and understand the world.

It's pretty obvious what this is all about: Now that the West has fought Russia "to the last Ukrainian", it's time to send in the German & Polish proxies. NATO was banking on a Ukraine win, although that was never a realistic hope. It did serve to exterminate much of the male Slavic population and advance the cause of weaning us off fossil fuels, however.

The mass riots in France, which started as protests over underfunded schools, are a shocking example. But the phenomenon has been building for years, with the perceived failure of liberal democracy to make good on its promises of a better future, especially for the young and the salaried working class. There is a growing perception among many Europeans that traditional parties of the center-left and center-right do not offer real alternatives and are led by an educated elite that has lost its connection to the poor, the workers and the young. Facing rising deficits, expenses and interest rates, governments feel constrained in what they can do to respond.

The defining public myth of Donald J. Trump has always been that of the unyielding, dominant sovereign—the master of the boardroom who barks orders, dictates terms, bends foreign leaders to his will, and answers to no one. I think that what Donald Trump has discovered to his disappointment is that we are not what we were in 1991 militarily by any stretch of the imagination. And I think his assumption without really understanding military power and the position of the United States in the world was from the outset of his administration that we were the all powerful force that no one could resist and that anybody who resisted us would be rapidly beaten into submission. Now some people say, 'well this is Donald Trump's god complex'. I mean, the other day, I guess he spoke and told someone that the Houthis were behaving badly, which somebody said, "Who does this man think he is? God?" And I don't think he has much appreciation for what the population in Yemen has been through over the last decade or two, having been either starved or bombed into submission several times by the Saudis. But at any rate, I think he truly believes that he and the American state is at the center of the universe and that we are still all powerful, which is why I think you're going to see another round of fighting with Iran. He cannot accept the fact that our military supremacy is no longer the case and neither is our economic supremacy and for that matter neither is our financial credibility. We're not even a AAA creditor in the world anymore. It's all bound up together, but he seems to be determined that he's going to return us to the unipolar moment, whether the world wants it or needs it, they're going to get it.

[19] This will be a bitter pill for Zelensky and European leaders to swallowing, but the final political reckoning with strategic defeat draws ever closer as events in France are showing.

The plan is quite simple and there is nothing that hasn’t been raised before. Ukraine’s military neutrality Ukraine to pursue membership of the EU as a neutral state, much like Austria and Ireland An armistice line to be drawn along the line of contact NATO to commit to no further eastward expansion Clearly - or at least to me - this is an edited version of the plan that the Trump White House has been pursuing. The biggest blockages are: getting Zelensky, the EU and Britain to commit to implementation of a plan that is based around this template, having refused to negotiate with Russia in a substantive way thus far; getting European States to commit to a plan that would finally end the folly of Ukraine’s pursuit of NATO membership; getting the EU finally to face up to the enormous challenge of admitting Ukraine to membership in some form, recognising the huge financial challenges this will pose to the project; getting the EU and Britain to commit to sanctions removal from Russia, having taken steps to make them permanent. This will include the issue of the mobilisation of Russia’s frozen assets. The list is longer than that, but the key point is that landing a deal, the shape and substance of which Ukraine and Europe have been resisting since the war started, represents a massive hurdle. Why? Because, at the very least, taking NATO off the table and making Ukraine a neutral state will represent an enormous strategic defeat of the west, that political leaders will have to account for to their publics, following years of open-ended and exorbitant financial commitments, during which time Europe has grown demonstrably poorer because of its war policy. So the biggest blockage to this plan is political. But the political facts on the ground in Europe, characterised by what is happening in France right now, are bringing the final political reckoning with defeat ever closer, while making the pill more bitter.

• Jeffrey Sachs : A Framework for Peace In Ukraine.

Prof. Sachs: Europe is burning because it's in economic crisis and the political leaders in Europe don't respond to the basic interests and needs of the citizens. By the way, politically the situation is the same in the United States. Thank God the US is not burning right now, but the government is extremely unpopular in the United States because it's engaged in war rather than addressing the needs of American working families. So the situation is similar, but Europe is really suffering from its response to this mess in Ukraine. It has put on more than 20 rounds of sanctions. But what that has meant for Europe is to cut itself off from the low-cost energy that was core to Europe's competitiveness and its industrial base which, since 2022, is therefore been shrinking with jobs being lost, with living standards going down, and all the European politicians, especially in the big countries, Germany with Chancellor Merz or France with President Macron. They speak of more war. And the public doesn't want more war. The public wants peace. It doesn't want to put hundreds of billions of dollars or euros into the Ukraine war. It doesn't want to pay six times the cost of Russian natural gas by buying American liquefied natural gas shipped across the Atlantic. So the public is disgusted and the European politicians are absolutely bizarre in my view. They have been failed politicians for years. But as the unhappiness has increased, as the approval ratings for Macron dipped below 20% and then below 15% and then reaching about 10% approval, and that means 70 or 80% disapproval. There was no reaction of the government to the unhappiness in the public, and now a spark and explosion and it's just a disaster. Of course, the economic fallout of what's happening in France is profound. Interest rates are soaring. French public debt is already very large. Now will pay a compound penalty interest rate on top of this. This will exacerbate the economic stagnation and decline being felt throughout Europe. Next door in Germany, the unpopularity of the Chancellor and his party are equivalent. This is the situation. It's a continent that is engaged in an extraordinarily unpopular war with Russia that could be ended as I am emphasizing through a sensible negotiated outcome. But the European leaders are choosing the drums of war rather than the negotiating table.

Note: Prof. Sachs was the author of "Shock Therapy" in Russia in the 1990s which led to much unhappiness and for which he has repented of, and User:Conservative's oft quoted Happiness Index, for which User:Conservative has shown no interest or inclination in updating for the United States, France, or Germany since 2022 when the West's funding for the NATO war in Ukraine exploded. The real winner: Moscow If the deal does little for the diesel shortage, it does a great deal for Russia. The volumes that are trivial against a 3 million barrel-a-day gap are not trivial as cash, because diesel is now one of the most valuable commodities on earth. US diesel futures settled at about $4.80 a gallon in September, roughly $200 a barrel....Actual realized prices will depend on discounts, freight and delivery terms, and the revenue is earned first by Russian companies, reaching the state through taxes. That money arrives when Moscow needs it. Russia’s budget was built on $59 Urals crude; in early 2026 Urals was selling in the mid-$40s to mid-$50s at deep discounts imposed by sanctions, and Bloomberg reported that, at those prices, the shortfall in oil and gas revenue would push the deficit to almost 2.2 trillion rubles, about $29 billion. On my numbers, the full diesel package alone would cover roughly a fifth to a quarter of that gap. The sanctions relief is worth more than the announced tonnage. Treasury’s general license is not limited to fuel bound for the United States. It allows Russian diesel to be sold on the global market, and any cargo loaded while the license is in force is exempt from US sanctions until April 2027. That means: Every exportable barrel benefits, not just the announced tranches. Once Russia lifts its own export ban, all of its diesel can be sold openly for six months, not just the volumes in Trump’s post. If Russia exported even 0.5 million barrels a day over that period, a figure I use only for illustration, it would earn roughly $14 billion to $18 billion at the same prices. Smaller discounts. Sanctioned Russian crude sold at a discount of about $26.50 a barrel to Brent in February. Diesel sold legally to mainstream buyers, with conventional shipping and insurance, does not need to be discounted the same way. Each dollar of discount removed is a dollar more for Moscow. A crack in the sanctions wall. This is the first diesel license longer than the standard 30 days since the war began, and it comes weeks after Trump signed a law calling for tariffs of up to 100% on the biggest buyers of Russian oil and gas. Moscow and its customers will draw the obvious conclusion: US sanctions are negotiable, and enforcement of the new law is now in doubt. [bold added] [ Johnson's ] assessment This deal is politics, not supply. It gives the White House a talking point before the midterms and gives Moscow billions of dollars in hard currency plus a six-month sanctions reprieve it has sought since the war began, but it does not move the needle on the global diesel shortage. At best it offsets two weeks of a deficit that, on Miller’s assessment, will persist for years while the Gulf rebuilds. Lower pump prices, if they come, will come from demand destruction, stock draws or a reopened Strait of Hormuz, not from 35 million barrels of Russian diesel trickling in over the winter. The larger cost is strategic. Easing sanctions for a volume this small hands Russia a financial lifeline for its war budget and trades away leverage over Moscow, and strains relations with Kyiv and Brussels, for a benefit that disappears in the noise of a 3 million barrel-a-day hole.

Something else died on 9/11 besides the deaths of 2,977 people. I wrote it was the doctrine of moral equivalency — the idea that people everywhere are just like us or can be made so by acquiescing to their demands. Unfortunately, that flawed line of thinking continues to exist (consider those making such a case in the Iran war). Unfortunately, that worldview is still alive. The moral equivalency crowd, I wrote, will try to wear down our resolve. They have lost all credibility, just as the "peace in our time" crowd did shortly after Pearl Harbor and America's entry into World War II. Energy independence, I said, would free us from the grip of the Middle East. That, too, has not yet been achieved. I was fortunate to be able to visit Ground Zero when others were barred. A friend knew the fire chief, who let us into a roped- off area. Three images I shall never forget: the blocks and blocks of store windows with pictures of the missing and pleas for help in finding them; the parked cars that were filled inside with dust from the collapse of the buildings; an unopened soft drink bottle lying in the debris. I have kept the hard hat they made us wear, on which I wrote "NYC 9/11/2001." A New York City police officer gestured at the ruins and said: "Look at this. Here is the result of years of illegal immigration, softness on crime, cutting the defense budget, and lack of attention to right and wrong in this country." Not a bad summation. It's easy to say "never forget," but each generation must be taught to remember, and one generation has been born since 9/11, and others were too young at the time. Left-wing Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed is being slammed over a resurfaced Columbia University research paper he authored with a “racist and eugenics outcome” that concluded Arab women should only breed with their own kind for optimal health outcomes.

El-Sayed — who has repeatedly called himself a physician though he never completed his medical school residency — warned in the 2011 paper published in the “Journal of Immigrant and Minority Health” of the hazards of “interethnic mating” — which he insisted increased the risk of children being born premature.

“Our findings suggest that interethnic mating may be associated with increased risk for adverse birth outcomes among Arab ethnicity mothers,” he stated, back then going by Abdulrahman M. El-Sayed.

El-Sayed published a 2011 paper titled “Interethnic mating and risk for preterm birth among Arab American mothers.”

El-Sayed began the paper, titled “Interethnic mating and risk for preterm birth among Arab American mothers,” with the bold claim that Arab mothers, “a growing ethnic group,” have “systematically better birth outcomes” than white mothers.

He said American Arab women were 16% less likely than white women to give birth prematurely, citing his own research from 2008, while omitting to mention that same study found the gap disappeared after adjusting for maternal and socioeconomic factors.

The research, funded in part by NIH grants, concluded that Arab women having children with white men was linked to 18% higher odds of preterm birth — below 37 weeks — and 24% higher odds of late preterm birth — between 34 and 36 weeks — compared to having a child with an Arab father.

The study found no statistically significant difference in very preterm birth, before 32 weeks, based on whether the father was Arab or white, but didn’t spend much ink dwelling on that finding.

Critics savaged the paper as pseudoscience.

“This is ‘science’ with “a pre-ordained racist & eugenics outcome,” wrote Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tx.) on X. “Scary stuff.”

Others wondered what the radical Democrat’s real motivation was to even research the topic.
