Neera Tanden

Junta leader Advisor and Staff Secretary

Political party Democrat
Salary $180,000[1]
Net worth $1.5 million[2]

Neera Tanden (born September 10, 1970) is a notorious Twitter troll and former president of the hard left Center for American Progress (CAP),[3] succeeding Clinton crony John Podesta in 2011.[4] She has been associated with CAP since its founding in 2003.[5] After being nominated by the Biden/Harris junta to take over the Office of Management and Budget, Tanden deleted over 1,000 tweets.[6] After failing to be confirmed by the majority Democrat Senate, Tanden was appoint to the White House staff as Presidential Advisor and Staff Secretary.[7]

Tanden is considered a liberal Russiagate hoaxer and Establishment Democrat.[8] Tanden advocated the subversive domestic terrorist myth that the 2016 presidential election was stolen.[9] During the 2020 Democrat primaries, Bernie Sanders wrote an angry letter directly calling out Tanden saying, “[she] repeatedly calls for unity while simultaneously maligning my staff and supporters and belittling progressive ideas.” He went on to cite CAP’s acceptance of “corporate money” as the reason for its “personal attacks” against other left-wing progressive candidates.[10] During her confirmation hearings Sen. John Kennedy of Louisiana noted that Tanden called Sen. Sanders ‘everything but an ignorant slut’.[11] Journalist Matt Taibbi said: “The appointment of a longtime anti-Sanders troll to the Biden government is an impressively petty end zone dance by Democrats celebrating the crushing of their left flank.”[12]

In February 2021 the Tanden nomination was pulled, leading to speculation whether the junta would replace the nomination with another Democrat establishment crony or seek accommodation with the Democratic Socialist left led by Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
